This was a nice place. The seating in the covered outdoor area could have been warmer. The doors in and out were distractingly loud. Seems like a college town with young servers but our guy was still nice and efficient. The food was good. The BBQ sauce was kinda tart and spicy. Key Lime Pie is TART!!! Overall, would recommend. This was a good stop for a quick drive thru town.

This was my first time ever coming to Cootie Browns and it was fantastic. I had a salad (to be a little healthy), a smoked bologna sandwich, the blue cheese sauce for the fries & the pumpkin pie cheesecake. Everything was AMAZING and probably one of the best things I’ve ever tasted (and I eat a lot of places). The waitress, I can’t remember her name but she had pink & black hair and black nails, was so nice and friendly!! She was super sweet and even gave me other food recs for Asheville. Will definitely recommend & come again!!

Our whole softball team had a great experience at this restaurant. They were incredibly accommodating, the servers were SUPER. The menu was really vast, with lots of great items. The atmosphere was very cool and different. They also had a very good Key Lime Pie, it was very tasty.

The food was great. I never give five stars because you have to be completely exceptional… And it was close to it… Great gluten-free options! And they were very courteous and friendly and we didn’t have to wait too long for the food… The atmosphere was fun and we enjoyed taking photos.

Wife could not stop eating the steak. It was very tender. Sides were good. I loved the asparagus. The portions were all good. Had the key lime and the raspberry pies. Do recommend them. Mason was the perfect waiter. Would like to try some of their sandwiches next time.

Cootie Brown’s reminds you of a restaurant at the beach. There is seating on the outer edge of the restaurant with garage doors that can open in the daytime. But there is also indoor seating offered. The menu is huge and offers many different styles of food. They have burgers, chicken, steak, tamales, pizza, salads, BBQ, etc.
The chicken was great and the tamale plate was amazing. Kids got burgers and a buffalo chicken sandwich and everything was eaten, so I guess it was good too!
Our server was amazing! ETSU student studying to get into forensic science. He was great at recommending plates and was honest with his dessert choices. That swayed our decision and he was not wrong!

My wife had the Key Lime Grilled Shrimp. Seasoned and grilled to perfection. I had the Bbq Pork Nachos. Better be hungry to eat this nacho overload. Both our meals were excellent. Our waitress Maddie F. was excellent. She knew the menu well. Informed of crowd favorites as well as her own. She saw to it that we wanted for nothing. Great dining experience!

Happened to be in Johnson City TN and saw this place. The restaurant is very unique and the menu was too. They had many choices, from Pizza and tacos to Steaks and Burgers to Fish and BBQ. I had the tuna, salmon, and shrimp dinner, jerk style, which was awesome. If you are in Johnson City TN, this place is definitely worth checking out. Great food, great atmosphere, and decent prices. I will be going back the next time I am in town!
