Came in with high expectations but left pretty disappointed. The steak was burnt and overcooked, the wine was served without asking if we wanted decanted, and our appetizer arrived before the bread—which just made the pacing of the meal feel off from the start.
Service was also slow; our server took a long time to even notice us. To top it off, the manager-in-training came over to apologize but didn’t seem to understand what he was apologizing for, which didn’t inspire much confidence that the issues were being taken seriously.
Overall, a rough experience that needs better coordination between the kitchen, service, and management. Hoping this was just an off night, but it happens ALL THE TIME at this Location!

Dined at the St. Charles location with a reservation last night. Our food was great • tortilla and lobster bisque soups, pretzel encrusted pork chop and grouper. Our servers, Sam and trainee Antonio, were nice about giving us time to enjoy our drinks before ordering. (We never bogart a table anywhere, but it’s perfect to be able to finish drinks, apps, mains etc. before going on to the next). The vibe is bright and energetic with the huge wine tasting bar, bright lights and, because it was a Friday, people coming in after work ready to unwind. Thanks again for a great evening. (Bread and raspberry Sangria were a perfect start).

Cooper’s Hawk in St. Charles is one of our top go-to places for great dining (and wine tasting!) Just had dinner this past weekend and if this is your first time, you MUST try the lettuce wraps. They are to die for. I think my wife and I can have these just for dinner, they are amazing. Roberta, our server, was amazing and was great with the wine pairing recommendations. We tried the special which was a shrimp dish and it was great. I don’t think we ever had a bad meal here ever. One thing to warn in advance, it’s seems always busy there, so reservations are a must or you will probably be waiting a long time. That is half of the story since they also have wine tastings. We often go just for those. If you are lucky, you will have Dan as the wine tender (or what ever you call a wine bartender) His expert knowledge and witty conversation makes for such a great evening. We have friends that join us and it’s so much fun when he’s behind the bar! The only bummer part is it’s often so busy, it can be hard to even get a spot at the bar. We are not the only ones in the area love this place.

I would describe this as a millennial country club. Full of fun wine pairing, and a large tasting bar. One of the best places for truffles. I am curious about the travel adventures they offer. Solid wine bar and restaurant experience, with a rotating seasonal food and great wine tastings.

Great dinner tonight at St Charles. Roberta’s service was perfect. She was fun, energetic and had all the right recommendations. She kept us laughing and our courses came out well timed and all tasted great. Roberta’s recommendation on the seasonal Carmel macchiato brownie was so GOOD. We rarely eat at CH anymore but glad we did this evening. We’d comeback for Roberta and the brownie!

My boyfriend and I had a fantastic time there to celebrate going out kid free! Nicole was our waitress and she was out standing. She was very knowledgeable with the different wines and what wine would go best with what dish. Very bubbly personality and super friendly. I would give her a 10/10 if I could.
