Total gem! The fluorescent signage outside doesn’t it all match the interior which brought me back to Norway or Sweden. Simple clean furniture, a few real alive plants, excellent coffee, a warm vibe. Really enjoyed chatting with the owner and some of the other people there that were also appreciated being able to put my headphones on and get a bunch of work done. Highly recommend and I will be back!

A much needed sweet spot. If you’re looking for a cozy café with a chill vibe, I highly recommend this place. My matcha latte was perfection along with a tasty treat, the blueberry croissant. Lounge space upstairs with more seating – couches and coffee tables

What a cool place this is!!! Truly lives up to its name. My boyfriend and I stumbled upon it on a freezing cold day and it’s the perfect way to warm up!! I ordered an oatmilk latte and we split a blueberry croissant… WOW. We ate and drank in the upstairs section which kind of made me feel like I was in a spa lol it was so great and relaxing 🙂 Will definitely be back!

Pretty good coffee shop, I got chai which was pretty good. I order a dirty chai with oat milk for a friend and it was 9$ … So I guess I’ll say it pretty expensive. The staff was very nice and my drinks were made quickly. It’s a decent indoor space for working. I didn’t try any of the pastries but they all looked good.

Cool Coffee Co. is the COMMUNITY spot for coffee in Brookland! So delighted to have had this place in our neighborhood now for about 2 years, as it was pretty much a coffee desert.
The family who owns it are the loveliest people, and they have helped support our school community as well with a percent morning.
The coffee is delicious and dare I say underpriced for D.C.? Really great value for amazing brew.
The area upstairs is where I frequently work for my WFH day, as it is cozy and quiet. They also always have a treat for my dog when I bring her in.

The coffee house is clean and inviting. I ordered a coffee Americano and the associate was pleasant and efficient. The coffee was very good. The pastry area looked delicious but I am over 60 and I don’t need as many calories as I once did.
The young lady who waited on me made the place memorable. I was pleasantly surprised.

It has quickly became my favorite coffee spot. I come in on an almost daily basis. Great selection of coffee drinks. No frills approach focused on the quality of the coffee. Pastries are good as well. Decent seating area to get done work done and a wide and open upstairs area to leisurely catch up with friends. Owner is friendly and remembers his clients drink of choice.

Great neighborhood coffee shop. The upstairs was a little hard to find, but it offered a few different rooms and can be very private, depending on the amount of people in the store. The downstairs was buzzing when I was there on a Monday afternoon. The staff were very friendly and accommodating.

Great atmosphere, especially the seating area upstairs. Quiet and comfortable.

I got the Sambusa(lentil pastry, it wasn’t the best; very oily, unflavoured and very little lentil.
Coffee was good, can get better.
Customer service also needs some work, waited in line for a very long time while they were short staffed-another employee stepped outside. Was expecting tea selections.

Overall a good space in the neighborhood.

Despite a plethora of restaurants in Brookland, there aren’t many coffee shops compared to other neighborhoods. Visiting the area every Sunday morning, Zeke’s is our go-to coffee shop. Now there are options thanks to Cool Coffee.

Located in a corner brick building with a neon sign out front with a sunglasses-wearing smiley face, it’s open every day from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The inside is bare bones with several places to sit and relax. They have a full coffee menu and a glass box of pastries from muffins to croissants.

My latte and my wife’s americano were really well done. Very tasty and strong. (They brew Nagadi coffee from nearby Silver Spring, Maryland.)

Service is excellent! Staff were friendly and they were committed to making us a great cup of coffee.
