Located in the heart of downtown Petersburg. It’s a great place to stop while shopping. The food was tasty, reasonably-priced and well-seasoned. I had chicken chili and grilled cheese. I learned the chili is a family recipe. The aesthetic of the restaurant is a vibe within itself. The staff is friendly and constantly affirms with responses like “cool beans.” They also have an art gallery and canvases for sale. Window seating offers a great view of the city traffic.

Walking into this place it was so colorful and vibrant the ambiance is superb. Full of local art. This is a black owned business. I ordered the hot chick croissant which was fantastic and I also ordered a hot coffee which can be infused with cbd and thc. I also tried the blueberry lemonade which was also infused. So amazing and the perfect spot to go an relax . The employees here are super helpful and so nice. I met the owner Ms Nikki and she is amazing and gave me a warm hug. I cant say enough about this place. I LOVE IT and I never say that about any place I visit that has food and drinks but this spot I could hang out at for a whole day enjoying free wifi and amazing food and drinks. If you need a relaxing moment great coffee and amazing brunch. I highly recommend this spot it is a must visit in Petersburg.

OMG THIS COFFEE SHOP IS WHAT I DIDN’T KNOW I NEEDED! I got the chicken egg and cheese 10. I’m not a Chia tea person everytime I got one tasted like dirt this one 10 and that mojo brew no additional sugar needed 10.

I’m always on a hunt for the best coffee shops when traveling. So excited to find this gem! This is the best coffee shop I’ve been to! It beats all the shops in Richmond and the area. Best coffee flavors and consistency. Got to meet the owner William too! The staff was amazing, they went out of their way to make a special latte “White Chocolate Raspberry” which was not on their menu and it was absolutely perfect! My search for the best coffee shop in the Richmond area is now completed. Even tho it is 35-40 minutes away from my house I’ll be looking forward for that trip! Thank you guys!

Coffee Beanz has a genuinely warm and inviting atmosphere. When you walk in, the space feels welcoming, and the staff are friendly and personable, which makes you want to support them. There’s real potential here, and you can tell the intention is good.
That said, the experience has been inconsistent. Their operating schedule is very limited, and on multiple occasions when they are open, a significant portion of what’s advertised on the menu isn’t available. That makes it difficult to rely on them as a regular stop.
I understand that many people are waiting for the casino to bring growth and momentum to Petersburg, but improvement shouldn’t start in the future, it should start with the businesses that are already here. My friends continue to support, and I respect that. For me, though, I won’t return until there’s clearer communication about when they’re actually open and a more consistent offering when customers walk through the door, rather than feeling like a placeholder until bigger development arrives.

Cool beanz is exactly the reason I like to travel off 95 and find great places. The staff is so nice and welcoming! We loved our ICED cappuccino and cold brew.
