I happen to be in Scurry visiting with one of my alarm and camera clients and I always look for a local place to eat. I saw their sign for homestyle cooking and had to stop – so glad I did! This couple and their food are top-notch! I had their hand rolled chicken and dumplings and cornbread today since it was their special. If I’m ever out this way again, I will definitely stop by. If you’re anywhere near this area, I highly recommend! They offered catering as well, all over the metroplex.

Awesome little place in Scurry. Very cute decorations inside, service was great, and the food was SO good! Peach cobbler and chicken fried chicken were amazing. Highly recommend!

Great service awesome staff and beautiful plates. I came in on a Wednesday when they opened last week at their closing time. They did not mine serving me! I’ve been there everyday since. I had the grilled chicken with cabbage and greens. Also, grabbed cookies along with their famous lemonade. Thank you cookies country kitchen God bless you and your business.

This little gem is a pick up and take it home kinda place. They do have a couple of tables on a really cute patio but no dinning inside.
