We visited Cook Street Village Food Court and had the burrito and tacos. The food was really good — fresh, flavorful, and satisfying. The portions were generous, and everything tasted well prepared.
It’s a great casual spot to grab a quick and tasty Mexican meal. We enjoyed it and would definitely come back again.

I’m pleased to see this spot has survived the pandemic: not only that, they recently made it much more attractive and interesting by decorating it extensively in the themes of its Mexican, Colombian, and Ethiopian restaurants. The video on these reviews was from before the changes. The patio areas are also much nicer. I was so happy to see the Ethiopian restaurant survived as I love their range of Wot (sauces). Buy extra Ingera, the spongy bread used to soak up the Wot. Note: despite the name, it is about 20 metres off Cook on McKenzie Street. It’s a bit of a local secret due to being on a side street. A great place to relax informally with friends or with a book, and the coffee and tea are good, making it a nice alternative to the coffee shops in the area.

This little local spot is 2 hidden gems in one! A Mexican and an Ethiopian place that both have delicious, fresh, home-cooked meals that honestly always hit the spot, you can’t go wrong! The folks are so nice and the seating area is cozy, colourful and chill. Do yourself a favour and definitely visit this spot when in Victoria!

Great little collection of food outlets. Coffee, Mexican, and Ethiopian to name a few. There’s live music in the back on weekend mornings. It’s worth checking out.

I ate at Maize
The burrito was awesome and very full. The chips were also great and nicely salted. My boyfriend loved Mole Enchiladas. The rice and beans that came with his went great with my chips.

Good value meals from the Greek food truck. The courtyard is a pleasant place to eat on good weather days.
Most days after 7 pm only Greek on the Street is open for business. Note that this courtyard is also connected to the kitchens inside offering tasty Ethiopian and “Choros and Mor.

I love this authentic place. You can have national Mexican, Columbian, and Ethiopian food. There is a patio with a chill atmosphere and music. It does not hurt the budget.

I asked multiple restaurants there who cleans and supplies the restrooms because they are out of soap. They said no one. Evidently the manager/owner does not take responsibility for it. I find that disgusting. When you go to eat there make sure you take your own toiletry supply.
