The night crew just can’t get it right at this location. I love the peppermint chip shake this time of year. Ordered one last week asked for chocolate peppermint chip. They got the chocolate and peppermint but no chips. This time ordered just regular peppermint chip. They asked “do you want chocolate chips”? (Well duh) I said yes. Got home and no chips again. Good grief people! Going to have to try another location to get a correct shake this month!

In this economy, finding a place where a family of four can eat for under $40 feels like discovering buried treasure—and Cook Out delivers the gold without making you do the dishes.
We’re talking real food, fast service, and prices that make you double-check the receipt in disbelief (yes, it’s that affordable—and no, you’re not dreaming).
Let’s break it down:
The cheese curds? Absolutely a must-have. Crispy, gooey, and downright addictive.
The onion rings? Golden, flavorful, and hit that perfect crunch-to-softness ratio.
And the portions? Let’s just say you won’t leave hungry. You might leave rolling.
We stopped by on opening day, and the community support was out of this world. The line was long—but the smiles, the energy, and the small-town buzz made it feel like a block party with burgers.
Whether you’re feeding the family or grabbing a late-night tray combo, Cook Out is the spot.
Great food. Great prices. Great vibes.
Highly recommend—and don’t skip the cheese curds. You’ll thank me later.

Regular cheeseburger with everything- taste was outstanding. Fries were on point, Large sweet tea was fantastic.
The only reason you got four stars is because the burger was a little too raw for me. Don’t get me wrong, I ate it, but I would suggest fully cooking the burger before serving. Some folks might not be so forgiving.

Very nice place, food tastes great. A bit disappointed with the portion size. This is a double burger tray, with cheese bites x2 (double up). Should be packed or at least mostly full in my opinion

My fiancé took me to eat here tonight. The last 3 times we’ve been here, we’ve been really impressed with the friendly atmosphere, food and quickness. Tonight not so much. We took our food home to eat, which was a short drive away. We opened the boxes up and the pattys on the burgers were tiny, cold plain and flavorless. Cashier working didn’t ask what we wanted on them. I thought they came with a couple of condiments at least, usually they’ve got everything on them without asking for it. My fiancé had a side of coleslaw and there was only a small spoonful in the cup they used, it was practically empty. I got double cheddar bites and it looked like only one serving plus all the food was cold after waiting over 25 minutes for it to be done. Also the fries were soggy and cold. The young brunette girl working the outdoor window wasn’t very friendly and completely abandoned us and later, a male gave us our order which looked like it was sitting there done for awhile. He was very friendly tho. We are very disappointed in our supper tonight. This is not the cookout we all know and love. What a wast of money. Definitely wouldn’t recommend this restaurant to anybody from here on out.
Our order was #3027 12/28/25 4:33pm $17.50

My husband picked up cookout for dinner around 5:15pm on 1-7-26. When he got home with it, the styrofoam to-go box had been melted by the hush puppies pushed up against the top of the box that were apparently so hot they burnt the packaging. Because of this, the hush puppies tasted weird and were not crunchy since put in the box at such a high temperature burgong holes in the box. The chicken quesadilla inside the box was the saddest, most inedible quesadilla I had ever seen or tasted. It was not crunchy on the outside, only had 10 small, burnt pieces of chicken that tasted like charcoal in each quesadilla. It tasted HORRIBLE and it’s probably one of the grossest meals I’ve had in a whine. My husband’s quesadilla looked and tasted worlds better than the ones I received in my box. I could not even finish my meal that I so was looking forward to as it was our “treat” night for dinner. I am not a picky eater or one to write negative reviews on fast food places, but at the price and reputation for this NEW restaurant I was so sorely dissatisfied and disappointed that I felt others needed to know. Cooking a basic chicken/cheese quesadilla and serving food at an appropriate temperature is not that hard. I hope this cookout can improve quality check on the food temperature, appearance, and taste of food that leaves the window in the future as what was served was unacceptable.

The absolute best burger in East Tennessee! The hot dogs will keep you going back, everything we’ve tried a 10 outta 10! Their shakes are great and reasonably priced. You won’t be disappointed

We have been to cookout twice in a matter of a couple of weeks. They screwed the order up both times. Ordered the cheese bites got fries instead. Ordered a drink pepper got sweet tea. Ordered a burger with mayo mustard and ketchup got a bacon burger with onions and mayo. How hard can it be to get an order right.

Went to the new one in kingston. I was iffy because of the mix reviews but thought I’d try them out. Went to the walk-up window the guy was very friendly and didn’t have to wait a long time. And the food was hot and very good. I will get them another try next time I’m that way.
