Cookout tends to be a go to for me whenever I’m in the area and this location did not disappoint!
Our cashier, Anderson was fantastic and extremely friendly. The location was probably the nicest cookout I’ve seen decor wise. Someone really put some thought and effort into the design.

This Cookout has always been a reliable place to get some decent fast food. From burgers to BBQ sandwiches to Chicken Quesadillas, the food is always great and made fresh and quick to order. The milkshakes are amazing and if you ever have the urge to go into a diabetic shock, get their sweet tea.
Their sweet tea is the epitome of ‘southern sweet tea’. I’m sure the amount of sugar added is not clinically safe, but man is it good to wash the food down. Great and simple place, what more could be said?

One of the best fast food restaurants in the Brainerd area. Esp prized because it is open later than most restaurants. Favorites here include bbq sandwiches, fries, onion rings, hush puppies, quesadillas, milkshakes, and root beer. The chicken wraps and burgers are good and the Cole slaw as well. My favorite burgers are the cheddar and the western one! Definitely try the cookout sauce! They say it tastes like zaxbys sauce, comparable to fry sauce at Freddy’s, but it’s spicy and pretty yummy w the fries! This one has the crinkle fries instead of straight which is the best! The crushed ice makes the drinks so much better. ❤️ The prices are incredible for what you get in return. A gem to the Brainerd area.

Great prices that can’t be beat, and a selection of food for just about any person, even if they are such picky eaters! 🙂 I recommend for any meal and any size groupthat wishes to dine here. There’s very little wait and food comes out SUPER fast! Ya can’t beat it, trust me!

We had a very big order, they were super friendly and our order was perfect. Everything was hot and fresh. The milkshakes were delicious. They didn’t give us one of our trays and we went in and told them they didn’t argue but got us the tray we were missing. Very professional and super friendly. I’m surprised that people can be this incompetent. The past few times, the service has been lacking, but my most recent visit made me never want to go back. When I got my tray, there were holes burnt through it because the food still had hot grease on it. It should’ve never been handed out the window. This not only made the food inedible, but unsafe to eat. When we brought this to the attention of the “manager” his response was “What do you want me to do about it?” in a very condescending tone. He demanded we return the food before issuing a refund (probably just put the fries and hush puppies back in the thing) before issuing the refund. Not once was an apology even offered.
They spent all this money renovating, but the staff is lazy and incompetent. I love cookout, but I’ll drive across town to the other one where they actually try.

THE PRICE! You’re not going to find fast food that’s more competitive with the menu prices. Hands down! Pound for pound ! They’re crushing the competition. Open til 3am! Flawless victory!
