Reviews
I visited Cook Out in Statesboro, GA, and was served a severely undercooked burger. Unfortunately, I had already eaten most of it before realizing it was raw in the center. This is completely unacceptable and poses a serious health risk.
I have attached photos as proof, along with my receipt. I am now feeling unwell and will be reporting this incident to the local health department. Proper food safety measures must be enforced to prevent this from happening to anyone else.
I urge management to take this issue seriously and ensure their staff is properly trained in food preparation. Serving raw meat is dangerous, and I hope immediate action is taken to address this.
Almost every experience I have at this Cookout isn’t pleasant, but this visit has topped them all and definitely wasn’t going to let it go without a review.
On September 28th at 12:48 I decided to go to cookout for a slice of cheesecake and an order of chili cheese fries. I waited in the first lane for over twelve minutes as the other lane was moving along and no one was taking my order- after four vehicles orders were taken before mine, and no response at the speaker- I chose to drive around as there was no way to back up and get in the other line.
When I got to the window, the cashier asked me to “drive back around so my order could be taken at the speaker, they aren’t able to take orders at the window, and the first lane’s speaker isn’t working”.
However, I kindly let her know there isn’t a sign to let that be known that the speaker isn’t working or a cone to block the traffic from using that lane.
She still refused to take my order, with an attitude- states that “their policy doesn’t allow for a sign to let us know that the speaker is down” and again asked that I drive around. I definitely was not going to drive around and wait again.. so I chose to leave, because at this point Cookout has wasted a half hour of my time and I didn’t want things to take a turn as I was already very frustrated and exhausted.
The right thing to do in this situation is to apologize for the inconvenience and take my order as this is an issue their part- However it seems no one here has any common sense, respect, or courtesy.
I would strongly recommend for the Statesboro Cookout to take a look at their night shift crew and make some changes. *Not to mention they have shorted me on my change, not once but twice when paying with a $100 bill* Not the brightest crew!
