One of my absolute favorites! This place is one of few I truly frequent. This Cook Out has the best, most consistently good, fresh food out of all the fast food places around. They are open late but they stay busy. It might take a little time but let these guys cook. Treat them well and you’ll be rewarded with the best food $$$ can buy at 2AM.
Everything is made to order, from burgers to hotdogs – fries and chicken tenders. A Walkin’ Taco is also a treat. A bunch of taco ingredients in a bag of Doritos?!? Plenty of shake options as well – even seasonal flavors.

I love Cookout food for their prices and decent flavor—but I’ve been left disappointed today by the amount of cheese bites in my tray meal. Why on Earth would you only put FIVE cheese bites in a meal? It’s honestly ridiculous. Cookout on Chastain, please do better at your portion sizes. This is disappointing.

Good, inexpensive, and quickly served food. Serving sizes are nice. I ordered onion rings and only got 3 little onion rings but for the price I can’t complain about that. They have a large menu and a large customizable ice cream/milkshake selection. Plenty of seating available. Staff was kind and very friendly. 10/10 experience all around.

This is a great restaurant! I got a 20 ounce milkshake for 4.99 and everything else was insanely cheap, but good quality. The chocolate fudge w/ Oreo flavor was fantastic. Highly recommend!

This is a great place to get good food at a great price. I got the bbq sandwich with fries and hush puppies hot enough to burn my tongue and fresh enough that I could not stop eating. I forgot to put sauce on the sandwich and it was still great! I would tell you about the incredible blueberry cheesecake shake but my diabetic Dr might read this and I would be in so much trouble, but worth it!? Will return!

This place is a hot mess. They don’t serve milkshakes. They serve soft, serve ice cream in a cup with a the straw. None of the tables were cleaned, and one of them was actually broken and laying partially on the floor the napped and dispenser look like it’s been hit with a baseball bat and they don’t give you ketchup with your order you have to request it. That took an extra five minutes after I got my food so the food got cold.
Only one overworked cashier and they don’t bring out your food. They just shout your number out and if someone doesn’t come get the food, they keep shouting the number until the food is picked up, which was kind of annoying.
Even the front door of the restaurant was filthy unbelievable . I don’t know how they stay in business.

It’s cook out, I’m not expecting Michelin star service/food. But… it’s unacceptable to expect someone to eat melted styrofoam… it’s not that hard to put some tin foil down… or let it cool off… just do better?

Ordered a BLT with extra mayo as a Jr Tray in drive thru. Got home and its barely any mayo and NO TOMATO in my BLT. And somehow the bread is soggy despite barely having the mayo. How ?
