Ive been here a couple times and the food is good and its been consistently good. I would like to say the food outshines the customer service but sadly it does not. The lady at the drive thru was too rude, and has an attitude all the way through service. She once said that she would charge me a dollar per sauce, as well as forgot my orders. She does not have a proper customer service attitude and should not be at the window.

I gotta say COOK OUT is one of my favorite late night (early morning) get it and go Drive Through places. There is a good selection including corn dogs, hot dogs, Quesadillas, onion rings, several styles of chicken, chopped pork, wraps, a few styles of fries (2 different seasonings, chili cheese, cheese, and regular). But the two late night gems, at least for me, are their burgers and shakes. They have 40+ flavors and no, there machines are never “out of service” like you are often told at the big yellow M place. The burgers are my weakness. The meat has that authentic “cooked out on the grill” flavor and you order it just the way you want it. You choose the size and every condiment, and there are a lot to choose from. They also have four styles to choose from if you’re not the “Have it your way ” kind of person. Be prepared though. I don’t think I’ve ever waited more than 5 minutes regardless of the number of cars in que (line lol) ahead of me. 9pm, 12am, 2:30am, they keep the line moving. Its quick from order to pickup, so pay attention lol. You’d think this was a paid endorsement, but it’s not. I promise lol. Just saying, if you want something different than the King, McDs, little Ole Wendy, or the Hard Ds has to offer, COOK OUT is the place to go, and their open until 3am.

Went to this cookout while we were in town for Thanksgiving and all I can say is they were very pleasant. The general manager Darius definitely keeps the store up. The bathrooms were very clean and the dining area. There is nothing bad that I can say about the store and workers. The girl at the register was very pleasant. Compared to where I live there is a bunch of kids that have attitudes and seem like we are disrupting them. I highly recommend!

Just left cookout and got a small burger with hush puppies. I opened the burger to find literally half a patty. I will reiterate half a patty. So whoever Einstein was at cookout literally saw half a patty and thought that was OK to put in a burger.

Stopped in while visiting family for the holiday. After doing some shopping, I needed food and decided to order here. The place was so clean that I chose to dine in. I went to the restroom to wash my hands and it smelled great and was spotless. The GM, Darius, clearly takes a lot of pride in his store and it shows. Definitely worth the stop! Thanks, Darius!

The service is subpar. They don’t like to give the correct amount of fries even when you double the order. The milk shakes are the best. The cost of a meal isn’t bad because they have a lot of options especially the milkshakes.

I visit COOK OUT located at 10030 Two Notch Rd, Columbia, SC 29223, about once every two months when I’m in the mood for something quick. I usually order the BBQ Sandwich with slaw and Texas Pete and two side dishes—two corndogs and a sweet tea. As always, the BBQ Sandwich was great, but unfortunately, my two corndogs were a bit of a letdown. They seemed to have been sitting for a while, and one side was a little hard. While this wasn’t a major issue, what happened next was.
After leaving the location, I checked my bag and was surprised to find an extra order inside. There was a dry double burger with bacon stuck in the cheese as if it had been sitting there for some time, as well as mayo and onions. However, what caught my attention was something called a “Walkin Taco” also on the order. Which had meat, lettuce, and Doritos crushed in the Doritos bag. This order was clearly not mine—probably from the car behind me—but the drive-thru team wasn’t paying attention, and they put both orders in the bag.
Additionally, I had to honk my horn to get my sweet tea, which was a bit frustrating. No greeting, no apology, or even a simple “Have a great day”—just handed over the drink and closed the window.
Although this was an unusual experience, I wanted to know if anyone else has ordered a “Walkin Taco.” Is this a secret menu item? I’ve never seen or heard of it before.
Overall, I still love the BBQ Sandwich, but the corndogs can be hit or miss. Just be sure to check your order before you leave!

This defines fast food the food used to be 5 stars bang for its buck but I think prices went up a tiny bit, usually prepared fast and a lot of options. Shakes are 40-1 in comparison to Sonics easily.

The last few times I’ve gone my burgers were still pink and I didn’t notice until I got home. I did get one of my meals replaced, but the replacement was pink too and the patties were the size and shape of a McDonald’s hash brown. Needless to say I will not be back.
Positive note the customer service was exceptional.
