Visiting NC and thought we would try Cookout after seeing the line were around the building for multiple days. The cost was cheap which was nice, the food was fine it’s basic fast food. The part we did not enjoy is the lack of care. If you put hot greasy food in styrofoam it’s going to melt. It would be a much better experience had our orders been lined with parchment paper or foil. The eating area needed a quick clean while the bathroom needed a deep clean. There’s definitely room for improvement with easy fixes

Ordered our food through the driver through completely messed up both orders not even close to what I ordered now to far away on job to return it. I mean its an easy job just follow instructions. Just letus tomato and cheese. They gave me this shit. Wow. I mean cant even scrap all this off they globbed it on. It really not that hard. $20 waisted. Not even close to what was ordered.

The food here is nothing standout, but it’s Cook Out for sure. I like their chicken quesadillas with a little Texas Pete on them.
Cook Out in Statesville is usually poppin’, line wrapped around the building — even in the weather. If you see it empty, get in the drive-thru before it backs right back up!

This used to be my favorite store in the chain. Place used to be so clean, tables arranged nicely, rustic looking. Hadn’t been in a while and wow! Dining room looked disorganized unkept & run down, as if the management just kinda gave up on the place and has a big ole “whatever” mode of operation.

First time coming to a Cook-out after seeing the long drive thru lines and small of char broiled burgers for weeks. The restaurant was fairly clean and enough seating for crowds there. The combo menus start out at $7.99 and include a sandwich, two sides and drink. They are able to be customized from there. I got the big double burger “cheddar style” which adds cheddar cheese, bacon, grilled onions and mayo. The burger was good, fries and cheese bites were also fresh. I can now see the reason for the packed drive through every time I drive by with the amount of food you get and the price. It’s a good deal for the prices these days. Don’t get me wrong it’s not gourmet food or health friendly, but for the price it’s pretty tasty.

No need to tell me to call your 800 number. Just sharing my experience. I will not be returning to this location. Food was your typical Cook Out fare, we were satisfied in that regard. The lack of customer service however, was negative enough to take my business elsewhere. Not looking for the “Chick-Fil-A Experience” by any means but a simple greeting and a “have a nice day” or even a “thank you” would’ve been enough.
Nope. Pulled up to the window, I said “hello”, didn’t get a response. Didn’t get a total repeated for my order. I handed the young man a $20 and the window closed behind him. A few moments later he emerged with my change. I didn’t say thank you, as I was waiting for some communication from your employee, nothing. He then handed me my food, also, said nothing. I for one can’t wait for the robots to takeover food service as the customer service experience is forever lost.
A copy of our receipt is shared for visit information.

Lady at counter was friendly. Food is what you expect for a $20 date night. My wife wanted a milk shake AND A MILKSHAKE SHE SHALL GET! I really do like their burgers. The difference from standard fast food joints is like day and night with the kiss of the grill shining through. The only real thing they need is better lighting. Feels a bit dark and seedy in there.
