Always good. Get some Cheerwine to go with your meal. Burger or Dog, both are good… get chees on your chili dog… makes it even better. All kinds of shake flavors too. Chicken strips and sandwiches as well. Grab one of the tray meals… best deals! No dining room. Outdoor benches. Drive thru as well.

Update 11/11/2025: Jazir was very unprofessional. I think because we’re both black. I recommend hiring some white people. Black employees mistreat black customers unless there are white employees present. It’s like a competition. They don’t want to do wrong in front of each other. More diversity = better customer service.
Previous: Add 10 or 20 piece nuggets to your menu. They only give you 3 or 4 at a time. When I said “10 nuggets,” the cashier was confused. Make it easy for us. Those nuggets are GOOD. You know people don’t go there for 4 nuggets. Are you kidding me? I’m a grown MAN. I’m not a child. I want some NUGGETS. Who gets full from 4 nuggets? I’m not a rabbit! I’m not a hamster! Stop playing with us!
The FOOD is good. Try the chargrilled chicken breast! Try the cajun fries!
Note: It’s the only place in Laurinburg that has REAL meat. You don’t have to worry about anything lab grown, or dog food on a bun. The meat is REAL.

As someone who has worked in the food industry, I’m typically not one to complain. But this experience was just not good. The employees were rude but that’s just to be expected from fast food workers now unfortunately. They got my order wrong, not once, not twice, but THREE TIMES!!
I ordered a big double burger tray with two chicken quesadillas and a huge diet coke. After waiting 10 minutes in line with only one car ahead of me, they rang me up for a large diet coke. No problem, it happens, just asked them to for a huge one at the window.
You’ll see in the picture what I had ordered on the burger. Nowhere on that ticket did I order mustard. When I got the burger, it was smothered in mustard. Which typically, I’m not super picky on something like that, but I hate mustard… Ok, that’s slightly annoying, but not a big deal right. I just go back to the window, show them the ticket, and politely ask if I can have it remade.
They remake it, and I open the burger when I get back to my car to make sure it’s right just to find out, that my big double burger has now turned into a little single. Rather than two patties, there is now one, small patty.
At this point I just cut my losses and left. Given the whole experience, I didn’t want to have them remake it again and risk having my food spit in or something. Safe to say though that I will never be coming back here.

I enjoy CookOut. I’ve ordered the same order two nights in a row, and not only was there a $2 difference, it was wrong both times.

We were traveling & hungry. It had been awhile since we stopped at a Cook Out. I had no idea their quality control had gotten so bad. My burger was the “CO style.” [Maybe that was the problem?] The burger was crushed & lopsided almost beyond recognition – there was nothing on it in the bag so this damage was done prior to bagging. The chili was glopped on one side & was mostly in the foil [no fork or spoon provided]; the raw onion was only on another side – no where near the center nor the glop of chili; the “lettuce” was a few crumbs (yes, small chuncks) I found in the last two bites; the bun was very sweet, sugar sweet. I also ordered a “regular” fries. There was the equivalency of (maybe) 5 fries & soaked in very old grease.
Pathetic quality.
Lesson learned. No planned return to any Cook Out.

Been a fan of cookout since they opened, the burgers and corn dogs are the best. However, the service is terrible. My order is not always correct and it takes forever for someone to acknowledge me at the ordering speaker – with that being said all that can “forgiven” with good customer service which is never the case. I have worked with the public and have worked in the food industry and I get it to a point (serving the public can be exhausting) BUT this isn’t the way.
