I spent 5 minutes in silence at the speaker before someone finally took my order. Then, they forgot a sandwich. When I went back to ask them for it, they asked me if it was plain or all the way. I said all the way and he repeated that to me, and then gave it to me plain. I did not notice until after leaving. Worst service for a Cook Out ever. It was around noon meaning not much other customers were there either, so I’m not sure why they took so long and could not get a basic order correct

They use to be really good back in the day but now since they have hired all these Gen Z kids it has went downhill!!!! Food is burnt and over seasoned, blood pressure will surely shoot through the roof! Customer service is out the window no matter which line you go through! They barely fill your drink up no matter if it’s a shake soda or tea! The trays they serve you barely have anything in them so good luck with that

Honestly I don’t understand how this location took a nosedive so quickly. Hush puppies taste burnt even though they aren’t that means you need to change your oil, drinks had no ice, servings were cut in half, having out order taken takes way too long, and overall customer service has been shit.

I use to go to cookout all the time but now this is the second time I order from them and they got my order wrong I’m paying $30+ dollars and can’t even get chil fries or large Cajun fires once I got coleslaw instead of chili cheese fries this time plain and no large Cajun fries I travel 20 minutes from my home at least get order right or ask at the window if you missed understood something…….once understand might be busy but twice not going for it

Drive thru service was slow. However, the chocolate chip cheesecake shake was good!
Edit: (January 24, 2025) they are really going downhill. We haven’t been back in a while. Well, it seems like they have a really hard time with hearing through their speakers? I asked for tea with no ice, and they still put ice in both of them. The burger was good, but they really do not give enough of a side, even when it is doubled up.
And my mom is not happy with her Regular BBQ plate; she is fussing at me that they put hot sauce all over her sandwich? I didn’t ask for any hot sauce on the sandwich…
I don’t think we’ll be going back any time soon…if we do go back. :/

Just left the Owen Drive location. Ordered 1 burger, 2 fries & milkshake & was told my bill was $21.55. I told her that wasn’t my order. She was rude, the staff was rude, said refunds cause them too many problems. Fix your audio system at the drive-thru. Never again

Pull up to order wait 5 mins, decide to pull away and goto other lane as im pulling away someone comes to window and takes order for car that was behind me. In other lane, server fairly rude on speaker. Get to window and server was very rude, asked for ketchup she closed the window. I sat till she opened the window again and asked again for ketchup and she said they didnt have any… nuggets were shitty dried pucks with seasoning all over them, did not ask for seasoning on nuggets.. Rudest service I’ve had at cook out..

Honestly before tonight I’ve never had any huge issues at this cook out, but tonight was probably the biggest disappointment I’ve ever had at any fast food business. Let me start with the woman at the window who was beyond professional and wonderful she’s the only reason I’m giving this place 2 stars instead of none. But when we got home to say the food was disgusting was putting it nicely. There was 0 cares given with the making of our order. Fries were cold and unseasoned after I asked multiple times for cajon which I can look past. Nuggets were hot but burnt which I could’ve also looked past. But the burgers omg let’s just say whoever was cooking maybe needs to be moved to being a cashier. It had enough ketchup and mayo on it to make me literally gag (more condiments than meat), it was slapped together on some of the soggiest bread I’ve ever had the displeasure of having. I’m not one to complain at any restaurant but this was seriously bad enough it wasn’t edible. I just got off a 12 hr shift and got home so $27 worth of food went straight in the trash because I’m too tired to drive the 18 mins back up there then home. It’ll be a good while before I visit this cookout again. Definitely check your food before leave.

Just went through the drive thru on Owen Drive in Fayetteville NC. My hamburger was so over well-done you could break a tooth trying to bite into the burger. Never been so disgusted with the food from Cookout. They need to fire the cook or either teach them how NOT TO PROVIDE HOCKEY PUCKS FOR CUSTOMERS.
