This is the brand new Cook Out that just opened up recently on Harrisburg on 49. Very nice & clean place and has an INDOOR DINING ROOM! Karen our counter person was very friendly & personable. The food was very good & hot . They have a double drive-thru, which is nice to have, just ask Chik-fil A. Plenty of parking and the bathrooms were super clean. This will be our go to Cook Out! We had the bacon cheese hot dog, bacon cheeseburger, fried cheese (curds), chicken nuggets, onion rings & sweet tea. Everything was really good. I love their little chewable ice. If I had to find one fault, that was that they did not have Marinara sauce for the fried cheese. Pther than, we were very happy with our visit. We’ll be back!

Food is good and the meal is barely $10.
Wanted a good cheat day and I’ve been here twice since it opened. Burger seemed smushed together but regardless it tasted fine. Took awhile for the shake to be drinkable but overall it was ok.

Hey all! If you are like me and was NOT paying ATTENTION, Cookout has CHEESECAKE! It has always been on the menu and is a part of the milkshake flavors menu. We bought banana pudding! So when you don’t want to drive to the cheesecake factory or your favorite bakery is closed, GET SOME!

Food was great. Service was quite good. Came here on labor day when they were not real busy. This is a good choice to add! Cookout burger, fries, etc all good. Enjoy and I like the Charlotte speedway and international cars made in Harrisburg flare!

I really like this Cookout location. The food is great and the staff are friendly. Our food came out quickly. Inside the restaurant you will find a well decorated dining room and a good atmosphere.

I visited the new Cookout in Harrisburg around 10:30 pm and had a disappointing experience. When placing my order at the drive-thru, my milkshake was mistakenly rung up as a sweet tea. Even though it wasn’t my error, I was asked to pay the $1.50 difference, which I don’t think I should have had to cover.
While waiting, I noticed the staff playing around inside instead of focusing on customers—at one point Ayame, the cashier, knocked the hat off another employee right before he opened the second window for another customer. The overall impression was that staff were more interested in goofing off than providing good service.
When I checked my food before leaving, I saw that the portions of cheese bites were inconsistent—one box had only three while another had nine. I even took a picture of them side by side because I couldn’t understand how that was fair. When I asked about it, the response I received was, “I don’t know what to do,” which wasn’t helpful. Finally, when I asked for a phone number to call the next day, I was told that they didn’t know the number.
For a brand-new location, I expected more attention to accuracy, consistency, and customer service. I hope management takes steps to provide better training and professionalism so future visits are more positive.

A constant issue at Cookouts is the inconsistency of aluminum foil or wax paper being put down before they dump food straight out of the fry basket into the to go box. Got food for my kids after a soccer game only to see this – fried food that literally melted the styrofoam. Disgusting. Do better Cookout.

Been here at least 15-20 times. (Majority I come inside) and come here only as it’s super convenient. Otherwise, drive anywhere else for quality & consistency. Food is kinda just thrown together without care. Milkshakes, except *maybe* twice are always soft and over half melted. Wife got one once that was pure milky liquid. No exaggeration. C/S is mostly wham-bam here it is, now go – type of a demeanor. I did run into an older woman last time, (actually from up north, CT maybe?) who was super duper nice & courteous. A pure delight to interact with. Otherwise, room for much improvements in all metrics.
