So glad this North Carolina classic chain fast food is here. The building (old Burger King) was renovated beautifully and with unique decor to the obx, it’s a one of kind Cook Out. Food is always solid and milkshake menu is off the charts good with tons of selection. I don’t really understand the negative reviews. One person said the place is too bright, the very next person said it is dimly let. Pretty ridiculous reviews, maybe Wendy’s management next door leaving those. On this trip I just got the BBQ, it’s great with the Texas Pete on it (another classic Carolina brand) and the peanut butter Oreo shake. This place was clean and service was great. I have to say this is awesome. Awesome food, fresh, made to order. They completely transformed the old Burger King into a new looking building. Drive thru line was extremely long so we went inside and we ordered and got our food so quickly that the person I would have been behind in the drive still was like 4 cars away from even ordering.

Open only 2 weeks but already pleasing the masses with great cook out classics! The service was exceptional and the staff very pleasant! Can’t imagine how crazy this location will be in season considering we were there after Thanksgiving and they slammed then with the drive thru backed up to the street entrance.

Well no time to decipher menu in drive through with ten+ vehicles behind you. So just picked two burgers, a cheddar and a cookout. Burger patties were charbroiled and good. Don’t know you had to add your condiments of choice. A lot of work. Fries were very puffy and very salty. Milkshake was uber sweet and thick.

Very good for a chain that just opened on the OBX. The burgers were freshly made off the grill and the fries were really good too. I also like their selections of milkshakes and definitely a lot of more items to choose from. The guy taking our order at the drive thru was also very kind and friendly. Will definitely come back to try more options.
