Cook Out was the move for me and my friends when it came to a late night stop after the festival we attended as it was convenient, open late, cheap-ish and it gets the job done. We ended up going two nights back to back.
Lines were long both nights (no shock there), but they moved pretty fast, so no complaints on that. The first night the person on the com was super friendly, but the second night? Not the same energy. They were kinda rude. I get it as it is a late shift, busy night but customer service still matters.
It’s drive-thru only so no way to check the vibe inside, but the food was hot and fresh both times. You can tell they make it right when you order. My go-to is the cheese bites those never disappoint (other than the amount they give you). I tried the chili hot dog, it was okay but not really for me. The Cheddar Style burger though? Awesome, it definitely hit the spot.
Definitely a solid late night spot if you’re hungry and just need something quick and good.

Delicious. Cook out has the closest thing to home made food. Everything is seasoned and flavorful to perfection. I always like the grill chicken sandwich as it is a healthy option that doesn’t lack tastyness. The double cheeseburger is always done right. It doesn’t matter what location, you can always expect the same. I appreciate that. Great food, great service. Gotta love some cookout

The food is good but you better check the amount you’ve been charged! I got home (i live an hour away from this location) and realized they charged me twice instead of once! A charge for 9.12 (which was the food I ordered), and a charge for 5.26 which I didn’t authorize. Better check your bank account before leaving here ♂️

Good food at reasonable price. Not a fan of hush puppies, but I ate almost all of them, they are crunchy outside and soft inside, delicious. The BBQ is also very tender and tasty.
Have to edit the review, went back in November, the BBQ looks messy and taste funny, took a bit and return to the counter. Order a chicken sandwich, the bun is mushy. Will never go back again, very disappointed.

I love me some cook out, but tonight’s sucked. Homeboy in drive thru on the passenger side needs to slow down and pay attention. I don’t know what they did to my burger but it was disgusting. Y’all need to get it together!!

I had an excellent experience at Cook Out thanks to Abbie’s exceptional customer service. From the moment I walked up, she was welcoming, professional, and made me feel like a valued customer. She took the time to make sure my order was exactly right, handled everything quickly and efficiently, and kept a positive attitude the entire time. What stood out most was how genuine she was, she treated me with kindness, made sure I had everything I needed, and went above and beyond to deliver great service. You can tell she takes pride in her work and truly cares about the people she’s helping.
It’s rare to find someone who provides that level of attention and professionalism in fast food, and it definitely made my visit to Cook Out memorable. Abbie is a perfect example of what customer service should be, and Cook Out is lucky to have her on their team

Man I hadn’t been to cookout since 2014. Back when the cookout trays were still $5.49 and the food was always cooked fresh. Just went to this location in Selma, NC on a nostalgic food run with my wife. Let me just say it was an utter disappointment. We paid $21 for 2 double burger trays. 1 burger was fixed completely wrong and got only 5 hush puppies which wasn’t enough to fill the small bag the put them in. On the other tray I got Cajun fries but when I opened the box there was barely any seasoning and they were cold. If this is what I should expect from Cook Out now it’ll probably be another 10 years before I think about trying it again.

Ordered $66 worth of food and got home to eat and all of the burgers were raw in the middle, bacon on the bacon cheeseburger was way undercooked, everything was soggy, and our double ordered of onion rings was as pictures (not a lot of onions rings for sure!). Called and spoke with the manager who say that she would write our name down and we could come, bring our receipt, get the food replaced. That is ALL we were told we had to do. We go today to get our food replaced and we get there and are immediately greeted with confusion. We speak with the manager who says he cannot replace our food because it goes against policy to replace food without us bringing the food back WHICH WE WERE NOT TOLD WE HAD TO DO. We asked if he would refund us the $66 we’d spent on inedible food and he said there was NOTHING he could do for us. When we asked why we were told otherwise when we called previously, he said it was because the person we spoke with was a trainee and she wasn’t aware of the policy. Why would a managerial trainee be handling customer issues on her own? SEEMS LIKE A BAD BUSINESS PRACTICE FOR CUSTOMERS TO BE TOLD THE BUSINESS WILL FIX SOMETHING AND THE BUSINESS NOT HONOR THAT. We were given the number for corporate and will be contacting them because the quality of service was appalling and utterly ridiculous. I would rate lower if possible.

My orders been incorrect the last 3 visits, the attitude of the window clerk is dismissive as they barely acknowledge you when you order as if they’re operating on autopilot. Usually around the times of 11pm-2am.You don’t have to be giddy or smiling from ear to ear as I realize this type of work is underappreciated, but a little professional courtesy goes a long way. If I visit again, I won’t pay until I confirm my order is what I am actually paying for.

1st time I tried this place, stopping by on a East Coast road trip. The 2 drive thru lanes moved quickly. I asked what the person recommended for someone who never tried the place before and they gave several recommendations. The food I got was really good except I didn’t get the sauce for the onion rings. But it was really good anyway and at just over $12, including a shake and tax, well worth the price.
