Cook Out has always been a childhood favorite of mine, and since I don’t have easy access to one, I was genuinely excited to stop by. The food definitely satisfied the nostalgia I was craving. Unfortunately, the service didn’t match that experience. The young lady at the window seemed rushed and eager to move everyone along, which came across as dismissive. I also had to circle back and go inside because items were missing from my order. Ofc when opportunities rise, ill still visit ill just skip this location and hope for better service else were.

Seriously good back yard grill taste at very fair prices. My personal go to is the Cajun Chicken sandwich and I tend to mix up the sides each time because there are so many to choose from and they are all so good.

Customer service was horrible!! The mixed brown skin dude with the wavy/curly medium length hair has horrible customer service with an attitude problem. STRIKE 1 when I got to the speaker I waited 3 minutes without being greeted. Not a “hello”, “just a minute” or anything . I finally said “hello” and was told “go ahead”. While placing my order he messed up what I ordered because he had a rushy attitude. Mind you this place wasn’t busy at all . Only 2 other cars & me were in line. The wait was super long by the way. STRIKE 2 , when I finally got to the window I ask him to repeat my order, which he repeated back super fast cutting me off so I asked him to repeat it again because I didn’t want to pay for something that I didn’t order. I tasted my drink (sweet tea) and it was horrible and wasn’t sweet at all so I asked for something in the place of it which he acted like it was a burden . STRIKE 3 When I finally got home & looked at my burger it was raw in the middle. So basically I wasted my money anyways. I waited in that long line for RAW food. I will not be returning. I rather drive across town to another cookout instead of having to recook a burger that I already PAID to be cooked. I definitely see why the ratings of this place is low now. This place is food poisoning in a tray & nobody has on hair nets. Just a gross establishment overall.

No other restaurant changes your drink to a smaller cup when you ask for no ice but Cookout. Today I asked for a fruit punch no ice twice, got to the window, they gave me what looked like a medium cup and I’m sure the cashier realized. I didn’t say anything bc they pull this at other locations (kdale)which is why I started coming here instead,, but this time, not only did I get a smaller up, but the cup was full of ice. So what was the point of giving me a smaller cup? Over it. I’ll avoid Cookout because, why?

Lunch on a Sunday afternoon. Food was good. Served fast. Dined in. Loved the walking taco side. The BBQ grilled chicken had a good grill taste. The sandwich needed a little more bbq sauce which I went back for. The corn dog is crunchy crispy texture. My friend got the double cheeseburger and very satisfied. His double fries are crispy and hot.

They’re always quick, efficient, and the food is always fresh and delicious. Everybody is always polite and professional. I go out of my way to come to this cookout… In fact I actually go by two other cookouts just to get to this one I live in Zebulon highly recommend!!

I went to drive-thru at Garner NC location on 12/17/25, order #1171. I ordered a chicken sandwich & told the employee to please be sure the chic wasn’t dry, chewy, & overcooked; because it was like that on my previous visit. I proceeded to also order drink, hotdog w/chili, & walking taco for my daughter. My chic was once again dry & hard to chew. And, my daughters hotdog wiener fell right thru the flimsy bun as soon as she raised it to her mouth, and then hit her shirt & then on to the floor. Plus, there was no straw for the drink. Very disappointed.

I ordered Cajun chicken sandwich with Cajun ranch wrap (no cheese) and fries. I got bacon on my sandwich and the chicken was half and cold . I got a bacon wrap with lot of cheese ( which I am allergic too). I got 10 burnt dry fries. This is the worst cook out food I’ve ever had and I love cook out.
