Disappointing Return to a Beloved Brand
My recent visit to this Cook Out location was, unfortunately, a stark contrast to my fond memories of the brand from my college years. After many years, I was looking forward to revisiting a classic, but this experience left me with an overwhelmingly negative impression.
The experience began poorly at the drive-thru. The staff at the window were terribly rude, lacking any semblance of customer service. My hopes were that the food would make up for this, but the poor service continued when we moved to the walk-up window. Despite the restaurant not being busy and there being no line, three employees stood near the window, seemingly engrossed in their own conversation. We waited for a full nine minutes before our order was even acknowledged. The lack of attention to a waiting customer was unprofessional and incredibly frustrating.
When I finally received my food, the quality was just as disappointing as the service. I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich, but what I received was a tiny, meager chicken breast on an overwhelming amount of bread. The chicken itself was completely flavorless, and the meal was an overall letdown. To make matters worse, I had a stomachache after eating, which only solidified my negative feelings about the food’s quality.
This was, without a doubt, the worst Cook Out experience I have ever had. The combination of rude and inattentive staff with subpar, unappetizing food made for an entirely regrettable visit. I will not be returning to this location and would strongly caution others to consider dining elsewhere.

Hardly got any freaking fries ordered 4 cookout trays and all 4 barley any fries all double then no straws didn’t give any sauce that was asked for totally BS needa shut this place down or find new management will be contacting corporate in the AM

The young lady forgot my cheesecake slice so I had went back and walked up to the window. They made me wait while they stocked up stuff and moved boxes. Then I wasn’t greeted or told I apologize about that. I got a head nod and that was it. Some of these places need to examine the customer service of their employees. Just happened about 3 mins ago. Will never come here again. Messed up my husband and his friends order twice. They both also got sweet tea and my husband and his friend complained it tasted odd, I tasted it too and it was very gross. They said that they were using hot sink water to make the tea. Nasty!

Google, along with their own signage state that they are open till 3:30am. I specifically drive across town after my shift to this location because they open later. I get there at 3:15am along with 3 other customers, and their lights are out, and the employees inside are ignoring customers outside. If you’re not going to service customers until the posted time, then make the adjustments so customers don’t waste their time.

I stopped by here around 2:20am on a Saturday night after leaving Limelight. There was a long drive thru line and j thought that walking and ordering would be quicker but I’m unsure if it was. There were a few people in front of me and I didn’t order until 2:30am. I got a big double burger cookout tray with Cajun fries, hush puppies, and sweet tea. I received my drink after ordering it. It was cold outside, so I went to my car to wait. There were 2 people in front of me who had ordered and hadn’t gotten their food yet so I just looked out and waited for them to get their food before I went to check on mine. The wait wasn’t very long. My food was fresh. I ate some of it on the way home. I got really sleepy and didn’t finish it. I ended up eating most except the burger, which I ate the next day. It was all good. No real complaints.

The worst cookout I ever been to the burger had no flavor all season on it. The french fries didn’t taste like Cajun fries. They were soft and without flavor chicken wrap didn’t have flavor on it either just a little bit.

I have been to cook out almost everywhere in NC I have never faced an issue. In this store, I was not satisfied with the amount of fries that came with the meal. When I asked the crew, they gave me a horrible attitude. The first worst experience with cook out. Not returning here anymore.
