Last night was our second time visiting Conway’s House of Jazz. I was grinning the entire time. Loved the Fat Tuesday music. We brought two friends who also had a great time and plan to return with us. SO MUCH FUN! I appreciate that they have gluten free buns for their very delicious mushroom Swiss burger.

Great place, happy to have finally made it here. Super friendly greeting by (I assume) the owners on a busy Saturday night, but we didn’t have to wait.

We had the mushroom appetizer, the sampler trio (jambalaya, etouffe & gumbo) and the blackened ribeye & shrimp combo.

Overall very good, although my med-rare steak was a bit overdone, and I think they really should have salt and pepper shakers and a bottle of crystal hot sauce on the tables. It’s not that the food was bland, but just a touch of salt on a few of the items would have been welcome.

Lovely, lovely place…My first visit…It was a nice & cozy entertaining experience. It was Mardi Gras Night with a live Jazz band featuring the “Big Easy”. They played New Orleans styled music (I’m from Louisiana), which hit home for me! My cousin actually got to sing
“Walking to New Orleans” with the band…So exciting! We even got to mix in a 2nd line dance! Food & Drinks were delicious ! Got to meet the owners who welcomed us with open arms. Excellent night of fun in a comfortable and elegant environment. This was my last night (9/23) in town and this was the “icing on the cake” for me. Please visit this place if you are ever in the area. Just FYI…16100 SE 82nd Dr., Clackamas, OR. I promise a wonderful time. Be blessed

Amazing! Having the ability to enjoy live jazz without heading downtown is priceless. The atmosphere is warm and cozy, the perfect place to sit back, enjoy great music, and savor a meal, all while staying close to home. No trucked-in food here, which I truly appreciate. We will definitely be returning!

Conway’s Jazz Club in Clackamas was a fantastic experience from start to finish. We were greeted like family when we walked in, and the staff took the time to explain the menu and make sure we felt comfortable. The customer service was excellent the entire time we were there.

The food was delicious, and the happy hour is amazing. It’s nice and quiet early on, but once the music starts at 7 it fills up quickly and the place really comes alive.
What really stood out was the extra level of care. I accidentally left my debit card, and the owner actually ran it out to us in the parking lot to make sure we got it back.
Great atmosphere, great service, and great food. We can’t wait to go back.

What an amazing evening! I had been dying to go hear live jazz and i was very thankful to find Conway’s. The music, the food, and the service were all fantastic (Tony Pacini trio). It was a small crowd and it was absolutely delightful! A very intimate evening. The band was playful and the staff were exceedingly friendly making us feel very at home.
I definitely want to touch on the food again as part of the review. They told us that all the food is homemade style and NOT just reheated food from the freezer and that was very evident. The food was so fresh and delicious. I had the jambalaya with shrimp and cornbread, and it was amazing!
There’s so much more of the menu I would like to try and i guarantee we will be back again for the live music and absolutely fantastic food. Highly highly recommend!

You know that look that someone gets when they’re looking for something amazing?
Say you’re at the ocean and you say to your partner, “Wow! Look! It’s a whale!” And they go, “Where?” And look around frantically?

That’s the look my partner got every time food went by us at Conway’s House of Jazz.
The food looked and tasted phenomenal. I got the meatloaf sandwich with a rosemary lemonade. This was one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had. Great lemonade too. They say they make everything in house.
We shared a chocolate cake for dessert which was amazing as well.

The band was pretty good too! Great ambience and service is probably the best in the Portland area. The owners are warm, friendly, and happy to be there.
We’ve been talking about the meal every day since we’ve been and I’m excited to patron Conway’s again!

The owners/hosts make you feel welcome the moment you walk in the door. It doesn’t look like much on the outside. But the inside is nice. And the food is always great, with plenty of New Orleans dishes and drinks. On our most recent visit, Ron Steen’s trio was performing, with guest players and singers. The venue is rather intimate so we were close to the band. The photos are from our front row table. Very enjoyable evening. We definitely will be back!

Man, what a wonderful place. My wife and I wanted to go out for dinner and happened to stumble upon this place on maps. The menu had a great selection, but wasn’t overwhelming.

My wife had the chicken Alfredo, which was amazing. The sauce was perfectly creamy and seasoned well.

I had the meatloaf, it was stupendous! It was moist and spiced just right. The gravy is one of the best I have ever had. Even the mashed potatoes and veggies were great.

Our server was incredibly nice and personable.

We are surely going to come again

My wife needed a place to relax and wind down. This was perfect! Great atmosphere, relaxing, nice live jazz. Seemed to have a number of regulars and a couple that danced. Food was good, we tried the creole combination and the pear and gorganzola salad. Salab was very delicious as was the étouffée, and we can’t stop talking about the Beignets!
