Really really good malts, you can mix and match flavors and make really good combinations. The rest of the menu is pretty simple, it isn’t bad just only burgers really and it takes a while to come out. Malts do the heavy lifting at this place.

Meh. Decent food, not really seasoned though. Bun was good, burger was alright. Chili was way too expensive. Same with fries. Fries were darker skin-on, cooked too much fries. Everything was ala cart, so not so inexpensive. There are a lot of other places to spend that amount on a burger and fires and get something better. The atmosphere was kind of fun, but mainly an older crowd.
The parking lot is a jacked up situation and no one really knows what’s going on.

This has been on my “to eat at” spots to do list for awhile now. The place is cute and nostalgic yet leaves a lot to be desired with the food. My grilled cheese was rubbery and not very good at all. The burger was a normal diner burger with little taste. I thought the fries were good yet all of them were tiny in the big costly basket. Our server was kind and the manager seemed on top of things. Over all it wasn’t horrible but I can’t say that I would make it a stop again when I’m in the area.

First time here. Make sure you know or take a picture of your license plate number. They need it to confirm your parking if you park in the parking lot.
Came at 2pm. Wasn’t busy, only 2 other tables were occupied. Service was a little slow considering wasn’t busy. But staff was eating their lunch it seemed at this time. Staff dressed in white nurse outfits.
Food was definitely worth the wait though. Got large oreo malt. Which filled up the cup twice. Careful when you pour, it can come out really fast.
Mushroom and Swiss was decent. Meat was a little dry, and didnt have much flavor, but a little salt and mayo helped.
Fries were definitely amazing. I normally don’t like fries but these were pretty well cooked.
Recommend trying this place out.

Stopped in to have a delicious burger, fries and full blueberry shake. A bit spendy but worth it. Great atmosphere. Make sure you let them know if you park in the lot so they can enter your license plate number into their ipad at the counter. So no need to pay to park. Love this place – love the area – everything was perfect. Highly recommend.

We’ve been meaning to stop in here for a long time and I’m glad we finally did! It has a great, throwback vibe, going back to its early roots. I love that they keep the menu simple and true to the type of place that it’s always been. The servers were friendly and fast, the food was solid and the root beer float was fantastic. We took to long to get here, but we’ll be back again soon!

I love this place but there’s some new weird parking situation. There’s qr codes all over to pay for parking in the lot but the website refused to load and I’m not downloading yet ANOTHER app to park in the metro area (i have 4 already!)
The signs said you could get validated as a convention grill customer but with the website not working, I’m not taking the chance at getting towed and/or a ticket just for a burger.
It’s a shame.

My daughter and I had a wonderful lunch today at the Convention Grill in Edina. The staff is courteous, the restaurant is nice and clean.
And I love the old Diner style food.
Jalapeno bacon cheeseburger was wonderful.
Along with a root beer float and butterscotch malt.
Will definitely be returning as soon as possible and recommending this place to anybody

The Patty Melt was fantastic.
I ordered the smallest amount of fries, and that was still a lot more than I could eat.
I’m so glad the Convention Grill is open again .
Can’t wait to try a big Ole Chocolate Malt.
I’m just too full from my buger and fries this time.
Great stop for the family and especially the kids .
