My favourite dim sum place. I have picked up four different dishes. I have placed the order while waiting in the restaurant, which was preparing for the Chinese new year dinner. The friendly staff has offered me tea while I was waiting for my food. The food was fresh and delicious as usual. The level of the food is always steady, there are no surprises. You know what you are going to get there- and that is the best. Highly recommend.

This is the best Chinese restaurant for manage the big club banquet. They have a big dance floor.
We usually go to this restaurant for some club banquets every year end.
We understand that they have to serve more than 30 big tables at the same time but they can keep the food fresh and hot.
We have never disappointed about their food.
Since most of the restaurant still short of staff, we can understand that too.
Hopefully, they can do better job for the service later.
The ladies restrooms need much more attention.
The dim sum is good too but a little expensive but everywhere quite the same.
If you like the dim sum carts, this is the place you should visit.
Don’t order too many dim sum from the carts at the same time. Otherwise you have to bring home too many food.

My family gets together at continental once a month and whether it be dimsum or dinner, the food rarely disappoints. For dinner we often get private rooms which are very spacious and great for extra privacy and or large groups. Staff are fairly attentive in comparison to other Chinese restaurants and most speak English well enough.

Went for the Dim Sum, the layout was beautiful and elegant and the service was amazing. Extremely attentive and accommodating. Food was also unbelievably delicious, I hadn’t had Dim Sum since I was a teenager and this is definitely the best place I’ve ever tasted. Can’t wait to come back!

If you want old-style nostalgic push carts, this place is a must. The Rice Noodle Roll (Cheung Fun) was excellent. The Siu Mai and Har Gow were tasty and a good size. The Shrimp Scallop Dumpling was disappointing, as it broke and fell apart. The Congee was not hot enough, getting cold very quickly. The Beef Tripe and Chicken Feet were typical. The waitress we had spoke Mandarin, which made communication a little difficult at times since we speak Cantonese. It’s not the best dim sum I’ve had, but they do a good job.

To my knowledge, this is the only dim sum place in Richmond still using the traditional push carts. The food was excellent. The har gow and sui mai were huge and better than most places I’ve tried. Service was friendly and prompt. I can see why this place lines up – would highly recommend.

Visited June 2025. We came for dim sum. We conquered! Found this place on someone’s travel blog, so decided to give it a try. The place is huge, like they do weddings here. Had a dance floor and everything. Their service is top notch. They did not have the cart when we visited but had a paper where you can order what you want. We ordered a bunch of dumplings and the chicken feet. The locals were amazed we were eating chicken feet and stopped by to tell us it was their favorite dish. Food was great, bellies were stuffed and overall had a great experience.

After coming here for over 15 years and eating a lot of Dim Sum in a lot of restaurants around the world this place is still in my top 3. The food is always fantastic and they have a large selection of dumplings as well as other dishes. We’re moving to the UK in a week and I had to eat here one more time but it will be one of my first stops when I visit.

The number of authentic Chinese food where I live in the states is a rather sad amount, hence why we drive for a while to a whole different country for some hella authentic food.
Been going here for many years, quality has never changed; definitely the go-to spot for Dim Sum. Sure, there might be runner-ups, but their vibes just aren’t the same.

Atmosphere: see, what I mean by vibes are the carts that wheel the Dim Sum by, the long wait lines (you got people lining up even at three or four o’clock), and the owner somehow managing to bid a customer goodbye, take an order, and holler out a name for the next person up in line to come on up.

Service: ooh, might I also mention, best to call in and reserve a spot ahead of time. That might cut down your wait time from half to one hour to the five to fifteen minutes I usually have to wait. Since it’s so busy, do expect a slight delay in service if you want to order something specific or get your tea refilled. It’s alright, it’s understandable. Oh, also, they do take extra requests! For example, my family and I don’t like stuff too heavy on salt or oil, so we asked if we could get the fried beef noodles (干炒牛河粉) with less salt and oil, it did come waaay lighter. Thanks!

Food: now… if I were to write down every single food and my corresponding rating, I might hit the review character limit… just trust me on this! You can’t go wrong with anything, so whether you’re looking for an authentic vibe and experience or you have zero idea what to try, you really can’t go wrong! Everything’s amazing.

There’s a reason there are thousands of reviews of this place, and I know many restaurants that have hiked up prices or lowered their quality after getting a bit more popular. In my experience, the food quality has pretty much stayed the same. Commendable!

Is it worth driving over three hours just to here? Yup, it is.

Dim sums via the cart – super traditional! But the flavors were so-so and a bit overpriced. We came exactly when they opened and luckily there was no wait, but the variety of dimsum doesn’t come out until later and by the time we saw them we already filled up
