My friend and I visited here after a walk thru Stubbs park. When we walked in it was very quiet even though there were about 7 other people there. They were all on their computers, which is fine, we just felt bad talking out loud. Very friendly and helpful service. I wouldn’t have realized they offered GF snacks until he mentioned it. I’m so glad he did as his mention of GF food allowed me to have a snack, a very delicious piece of coffee cake. and i decided lemonade sounded good and asked about the pomegranate lemonade they offered. After I was told how delicious it was and that it has some caffeine, I ordered one and it was very refreshing with a light fruity flavor. I loved it!

I love our coffee options in and around this area. Our family actually laughs at how many we have. (Spoiled in a good way? ) BUT, I can’t handle the over-acidic flavor of some more “mainstream” coffee shops and try to support local when I can. That said, I was out and about, did a Google search, and found a new-to-me Roastery/Cafe called ContempoRoast.
After coming in, ordering, and talking with the barristas, it’s clear they see coffee as intentional, a curated experience, not to be rushed but enjoyed. So many options from the pour over and French press to fresh cold brew. Added bonus? Those of us with food allergies and sensitivities have an ear here too. It was a pleasant surprise.
Jenny, one of the great Barristas, found out I liked cold brew too and explained to me how their cold brew and iced coffee differed in process and flavor, and then got me a sample of both. Above and beyond.
Intentional, craft, artistry, connection. I don’t normally boast like this online but I guess all the ugliness in the news and social media has made me crave the genuine that much more. In a world of clickbait and fast money, it’s just one local example of trying to make a small impact. If you get a chance, go in and check it out. Give yourself some time to explore and just enjoy. I stopped by here for the first time yesterday and grabbed a Sticky Toffee Chai and added espresso. I cannot express enough how amazing my drink was! The barista was extremely helpful and friendly and really made my experience warm and delightful. My drink was so balanced flavor-wise, and so delicious that I had to come back again for a large size this morning. I grabbed an Adelaide’s brown sugar pastry to try and it was SO GOOD and I really, really appreciate the clean ingredients. The atmosphere is quiet and calm, and there are a lot of great drink options. I will definitely be looking into buying coffee/espresso for us to take home with us next time I stop by, which will be very soon. I see some reviews with complaints about price, which is a little odd for me. I think the prices are very fair, especially when you compare them to the two chain coffee places near them that serve stale, poor quality, overly sugary beverages that typically provide poor/mean service. I also really appreciate they have a points/reward program!! I’ll definitely be telling anyone I know to check ContempoRoast out and our family will continue supporting their very lovely business! Thanks for such great coffee, having a very friendly staff, and providing a welcoming atmosphere where guests don’t feel like an inconvenience.

Highly recommend checking out this coffee shop! They have delicious lattes, which often have great latte art. Their beans (especially Dominican Honey) are perfect for the French press at home. Their customer service has been exceptional, in my experience. One cold morning, a worker (I’m not sure her name) even helped me carry the drinks to my van because I was holding my son. I was touched by her thoughtfulness and kindness to offer her help. Each time I’ve been here the barista staff is friendly and courteous. It’s one of my favorite coffee shops in Dayton!

Wow! First time here. This is a great coffee shop. Pumpkin Latte is great and the pastries are great!! I had the Pumpkin Bar…top notch. Daughter had the Pumpkin and Chocolate Chip Muffin. Both are great. Coffee drinks are REALLY good as well.

First time visiting and we got a decaf drip and a Sunset off the summer menu. Holy moley ill for sure be back to try more things. Very excited for the allergen (gluten free and vegan) muffin options. I got the pumpkin chocolate chip muffin and a coffee cake muffin.

We found others talking about ContempoRoast, so we decided to check it out. This place was worth the drive. We both got the White Mocha Latte, and it was delicious. The coffee cale was amazing. It was nice because there are not a lot of places that offer it. The interior is modern and trendy. It was a cozy place to visit on a rainy morning. We will be back.

Visited with my friends on a Saturday afternoon and were kindly greeted by their wonderful staff. They were patient with us and guided us through the menu to find the best option for what we were in the mood for! The ambiance and vibe were great for catching up with friends and could also see myself coming here to study or get some work done. I opted in for the Ethiopia Yirgacheffe pour over and can’t recommend it enough, especially when it comes in such a cute mug! Highly suggest everyone visit this amazing gem!
