It’s about summer and nostalgia… Connor’s. Been visiting Connor’s for 6 decades. Remember coming as a young lad. A well grilled Sahlens hot dog with mustard and rehydrated onions at Connor’s is as summer as it gets for me. Threw some fresh french fries with salt and vinegar in there for good measure.

We came here, a group of 19 people (mostly kids), because pats pizza is now closed. That was our ice cream/ dinner go to after a day at the castaway beach. This will be our new spot. The staffing, especially Devon, were exceptional and welcoming. They made sure we didn’t feel like a nucence. Markus gave us great service at the ice cream parlor in the back. I definitely loved going here. We will be back here. The cheap pricing helps too.

Don’t come here looking for Michelan star food. What you will find here is a great dog, cooked to perfection, with really great toppings, and fresh crispy fries. Great spot to stop after a day at the beach.

Stopped by for the first time today. Ordered 2 cheeseburgers, a fry, and 2 sodas for $23. The price was fine. The young man at the register was polite and got us our drinks quickly. There was a buffet style condiment bar. The onions looked like rice. The entire bar was a mess. The ketchup pumps were basically empty. This was about 4:30. We waited only a few minutes before getting our food. The fries were crispy and hot. No complains there. The cheeseburgers, on the other hand, were DISGUSTING. Frozen patties that were soaking wet, almost as if they were boiled. We couldn’t even eat them. The tables were filthy. Didn’t see anyone cleaning anything. Only saw the young man at the register and an older gentleman at the grill. Very disappointing for the history of the place. Was extremely excited to try, seeing as we have drove by so many times. We will not be back.

The hot dogs were exactly as described. The atmosphere was welcoming and the staff were great. We enjoyed our lunch and then took a night stroll back for ice cream.
I had the black raspberry cheesecake and it was delicious! We will be adding Conners to our yearly stop while in town.

What happened at Connors? Our favorite hot dog spot of all time till our visit last week. What a disappointment! What were always crispy delicious french fries came out wet and greasy. The stale, yes stale, hot dog buns weren’t cut in the middle so one side got so drenched by the condiments that the whole thing fell apart half way through eating it. Oh and the Texas hot sauce was so watery! The owner, that always was there cooking dogs and making sure everything was tip top, was absent and what a difference in quality of food. Honestly don’t know if we’ll ever go back. So disappointed!

We have been going to Connors Hot Dog Stand for decades. It is a staple in the Angola area. We love their cheeseburgers and fries. It just feels like summer stopping by and grabbing a quick dinner. We loved the “cut up” pickles to finish the burger right!!!
