Social Profile:

Much has happened since our dad, Jim Stolfe, traded his prized 1962 Oldsmobile Starfire to open the first Connie’s in a small storefront on the south side of Chicago. We no longer play records, we download tunes. We chat online, not over the neighbor’s fence. The Connie’s family has undergone changes as well! We have opened new restaurants and expanded into frozen foods nationwide. There are some things, however, that have not changed. We are still family owned. We are still obsessed with quality and service. And Dad still has the final word! We hope you will all be customers for 55 more years!

Local chain serving a range of pizza styles, from thin-crust to stuffed, in an old-school space.

I came here from out of town to have dinner. I was very excited because the food looked great and the reviews were good. I ended up disappointed though. The Cesar salad and pizza are decent and I think that’s about the only thing you should get here. My sister and I were both so unsatisfied with our pastas. I got steak Alfredo and she got the bolognese. Both were dry and lacked flavor. They tasted like a microwave meal, but even stouffers taste better than what we had. The service was okay, waitress was nice, but slow. Wouldn’t eat here again when I return to Chicago.

Their pizzas and salads are outstanding. It’s a fun place to go. Even when it’s packed, you’re seated immediately if you have a reservation. They’re beautifully decorated for Valentine’s Day! #iraeats #iraeats1

Great experience and a decent pizza. The vibes are really great and the decor is warm and welcoming. The service was really top notch and our server really cared about our experience. They have a ton of different styles of pizza to choose from including the traditional Chicago deep dish. I really enjoyed the tavern style crust which was crispy and thin. Someone else at my table was disappointed in the pasta, so maybe stay away from those kinds of dishes. They also have a nice outdoor patio with lots of seating.

I grew up going to Connie’s pizza being from Chicago . ..but now I live in Florida and has to take my adult children there . ..and it’s still the best experience , food , and service . We had just a wonderful time over dinner. And I want to thank my waitress Oisha for being so wonderful and friendly.

Their pan pizza has been consistently amazing over the years. The sausage is flavorful and the crust is light and fluffy. They have the best salad dressing ( Parmesan garlic). I will say, if you are a plus size person, please be aware that many of their chairs have a curved arm rest that will most definitely dig into your thighs and will not be the most comfortable. I was able to switch out a chair with no arms but it was very rickety. ( Unless you sit in the bar area where the high chairs are) Overall, I do love the old school feel of the place and their pizza is great. The service was also prompt and friendly.

I wanted my Indian Mother to experience an authentic pizza place in Chicago and Connie’s DID NOT DISAPPOINT!. It was everything we wanted and more!. From the moment you walk in, there is so many cool interesting decorations to look at, the vibes were a 10 and service was fast despite it being super busy! ( I highly recommend making reservations especially on the weekends).
This place is huge! And has different seating sections but out of all, the best place to sit is the main hall boasting a high ceiling with interesting old machinery.
We ordered the strawberry daiquiri (I couldn’t taste the alcohol at all!) and the tropical mango (it was ok, also very light on the alcohol).
For appetizers we got the fried zucchini sticks ( flavor was good but it would have been better if the zucchini wasn’t super soft, almost mushy)
We ordered 2 small things crust pizzas, one veggie and one bbq chicken (both were delicious!).
Overall the experience was positive.
