A REAL HIDDEN GEM in downtown El Paso. This restaurant is run by a duo of Brothers: one at the front creating the most exotic creative & delicious cocktails; the other is the chef who creates really delicious & modern yet brilliantly Mexican dishes.
I knew Conico would be good based off the reviews, but it far exceeded my expectations. My absolute favorite was the sopes de Cochinita Pibil, they were utter perfection. I also really enjoyed the other dishes so it’s kind of unfair to say I had a favorite. The quality of the food is astounding- the seafood is so fresh (flown in every day) and they use incredibly high-quality maize, ask the waiter to explain ( Conico is the type of corn they use hence the name of the restaurant ). You can tell the chef honed his craft in Europe. Can’t wait to go back and try more items from the menu. By the way, you should absolutely try the cocktails: they’re super sophisticated and delicious.

The food was absolutely amazing from the appetizers to the main course, every dish was exceptional. The open-concept layout gives the space a high-end, upscale feel, reminiscent of “The Bear”. However, the background music didn’t quite match the restaurant’s otherwise refined atmosphere. That said, I would definitely recommend this restaurant for the outstanding food alone. The chef’s creativity and attention to detail truly shine through in every dish, delivering flavors that are both refined and unforgettable.

This place offers the best from El Paso, the food is supreme, the cocktails are delicious and the ambiance is amazing. We ordered the red snapper that it was so tasty and cero fishy taste. The sopecitos were succulent, we definitely recommend this place over many overrated and pricey places. I can’t wait to go back.

I didn’t know we were going to a fancy place but the food was so good!! I had the mushroom tacos, rice, guacamole, beet salad, and chocolate enchilada. All were very delicious. I especially loved the mushroom tacos!! Small portions but somehow you get full. I definitely recommend trying this place.

This is by far the most underrated restaurant in El Paso and it delivers some of the best, high end Mexican food, that I’ve ever had.
Great, attentive service, wonderfully clean and beautiful dishes, an absolutely perfect margarita… what more can you ask for?
Although not cheap, you get what you pay for and compared to the other mainstays in downtown, this is a bargain.
Can’t wait to revisit next week when I’m back in El Paso. The aguachile negro took me right back to Mexico, and it brought the spice level too.
Please check this place out if you’re in ELP.

We had 3 items from the Happy Hour menu, tacos, ceviche and a tostada, and tamale de chocolate for dessert. All items were excellent. Beautifully prepared and served on unique dinnerware. Waiter was attentive and wiped the table between servings. The decor is upscale and comfortable. All around, an
Excellent restaurant.

Stellar.
Might be the best food in EP if you like elevated Mexican dishes featuring seafood.
I sometimes have trouble with spicy but even though almost all the dishes featured spice, I was able to eat and enjoy.
Balanced, exciting combinations. Beautiful plating.
Professional waitstaff.
This is where people who savor the art of food will find happiness.
Drinks were amazing too.

We were visitors to El Paso, and I had never expected a restaurant like Conico. I had read the reviews, but the food and service surpassed what I had read. We began with cocktails with the advice of our server – the bartender. Variations on the traditional made these fun even for those of us who usually choose wine. The cascade of delicious dishes came with exceptional presentations. We don’t usually order calamari because a family member who wasn’t with us usually makes this order. Described as chicharon de calimar, we were struck by how much we liked this dish. We described it to family members as the best calamari we had ever eaten. But it was better than that. We shared other dishes, including the cochinita pibil, which we eat when we’re in the Yucatan. We also shared the beet root salad and the tostada de atun. Both were exceptional in presentation and taste. Like the calamari, the tuna was perfect. If I could make a recommendation it would be to include some better quality wines. But dishes like these are hard to match to wine. So I understand the focus on cocktails. Overall, an exceptional experience!
