Super fun bar with great food and delicious fries! Wish I lived closer and could come more often.
Really enjoyed the shrimp po’boy but the French onion soup was the star. I eat a lot of it and most of the time it’s too salty. This was perfect! 10/10, no notes!

This is a really cool little spot, right in the heart of the city but somehow separate from the mess of the city around it. There’s a great, friendly crowd of regulars and the employees are wonderful as well. the kitchen staff busts their ass and stays open on weekends til about midnight-which is about two hours or more later than many other bars in the area.
so if you’re out drinking and want some good bar food and friendly folks around you, this is the spot to go.
Came to update this review as I’ve now tried the food and can attest to it’s deliciousness. Try the old fashioned steak sandwich, or the nachos. Really good!

Pretty low key upscale beer and burger joint tucked away in a forgotten side street in downtown PVD. Has a nice low key vibe and always good for a pint and good food. I wish they had more good vegetarian options, but I sure do love the Old Speckled Hen on draft!

Come to Congress. Meet Chris, he’s the resident concierge. What’s more, the meatballs are friggin huge and delicious, the drink selection is endless and the onion soup has COGNAC on it ! Staff is great !

Good chow and brew-ha-ha. The “blackened bleu” burger is highly recommended. Clean bathrooms. Friendly waitstaff. Prices fair. Desserts on offer but declined during this review. Convenient downtown location.

Thought we would try a new place. Had no expectations. But this place failed in almost every way.
Bar service was abysmal. Bartender spent 99% of her time talking with server. Never was asked how anything was. The bar itself is decent quality — but how do you make money with this service — you can honestly find better service at ordinary chains like Olive Garden.
Worst Margarita pizza I have ever had. The Margarita pizza from Costco is twice as this was. The Basil was shredded and tasteless. The crust was not a thin crust as advertised— a mess. A single slice was more than enough to understand how bad it was. To give the place some credit, it was removed from the bill. I rarely tip under 20% — this service was so ordinary that I tipped 10% — it didn’t even merit 10%.
We ordered the ribeye sandwich. Bartender didn’t ask how the steak should be cooked. It was the only thing that we thought was really good.
Made a mistake and ordered the “Christopher”….. thought we were getting some version of a Caesar salad and the pic tells the story. Not even salt or pepper on the chicken. It went straight to a to-go box, after trying the chicken — it may as well have been prepared in the microwave.
Not an establishment I would come back to.

Didnt eat food but sat at the bar. The bartender (brunette woman with anchor tattoo) is worth her salt. Watching her work is amazing, she is an extremely impressive bartender. Very pleased with the service.

The mixed drinks were great. We only had house made chips and dip to go with our drinks. We would have liked to try other food as it looked delicious. This place has a feeling of nostalgia. I could get used to hanging out here. Norm!!!
