We ate lunch here – but it looked like a very fun place to come to for dancing. The service was attentive and the server fun to talk with. Of the dishes we had, the shrimp in garlic sauce I tried to eat had a shrimp that smelled off, so that was the end of that dish for me. Julie had a couple and said they were okay. The plantaines with beef were good. Of the 3 empanadas, we enjoyed the beef. The star was the mango margarita – yum yum yum.

5 guys to one woman on a Friday night. Bartenders and staff were good. I was hoping for more traditional salsa and bachata for dancing. It turned into a modern thump music venue after midnight. Most women were overweight. Seems like every guy there wanted to bump into me. Watch out for trans if you’re a straight guy. Very unrefined place as far as clientele. Beer was good. People just want to drink and grind.

We were the only table in the restaurant, and still managed to get bad service. The waitress would acknowledge the items we asked for, then not bring them to table. The food was bland and nothing was served with any kind of sauce. Super weird for a Latino restaurant. The tostones had been fried in old dirty oil, and tasted of it. I received fries, though I specifically said I did not want them. My Cuban sandwich had no pickle, was not toasted (as it was shown on the menu and made at every place I have ever ordered a Cuban sandwich before). I received flack for ordering a beer. The waitress (or manager) brought it to me and made more than one comment & gesture about it being strange the female at the table ordered a beer, but the male did not. I don’t normally write reviews, but this place was so bad. I just looked at my bank statement and saw they put in their own amount for tip, a number which I did not put on the receipt. (I still tipped around 12 percent).

Staff needs to improve their customer service. I understand they need to follow proper protocols but that does not mean they need to be rude to customers who are just trying to have a good time. It honestly ruins someone mood when they go in and the people taking the money and giving bracelets to enter are rude. Plus the security at the entrance needs better training, completely unprofessional.

We went last minute to go dance, they don’t take credit cards, turned us away, the staff was very rude. Atmosphere is pretty ghetto. When we dug up a few $5’s to enter, the girl in the front said “no mames, I’m not counting this” and wouldn’t let us enter unless we had $20’s. Any establishment that takes only cash is pretty ghetto. If you want a classy Latin night club this is not it.

The food is just ok, and the prices in the food are competitive with the most regular restaurants in the zone; the drinks are overprice ( around 2 to 3 times the regular price in other restaurants). Is the only place in Minneapolis to dance “Latin” music; however, the music is mostly Reggaeton, Mexican cumbias and Disco trance, sometimes you have Bachata and other times some Salsa and merengue. After 10 pm you can park for free in the street, otherwise you have to paid in the street parking. The place gets completely full after 11:00 pm; you can’t dance anymore, just move with the people. You have to paid cover, just cash, after 10:00 pm, 20 dollars per person just to enter or $30 included 3 “free” drinks.

Great place to eat and dance. The Best Mofongo in Minnesota. Mofongo is a tradtional dish from Puerto Rico, if you want to have a taste of puertorrican cuisine, this is the place to go.

Food was great, service time was ok. Went when there wasn’t really a whole lot of people eating and the food took a quite a bit of time. We ordered empanadas, two margaritas and pork mofongo. The mofongo was amazing! We aren’t Puerto Rican or Latin cuisine experts but i would say it tasted similar to what we’ve had in Puerto Rico. Drinks were a bit pricey. About the same as my meal.

This place is awful. Visiting Minnesota we went on a Sunday night and the place was almost empty, but they still charged us $20 each person to get in and cash only. The woman at the counter collecting the money was rude and the few people in there were acting kind of getto. I was actually told this place used to be a really good Latin-American spot in Minneapolis but now it’s nothing like it was a few years ago.
