I had an incredible experience at Confluence Restaurant! The food was not only delicious but also very affordable. They have a liquor license, so you can sit back and enjoy an ice-cold beer or a refreshing non-alcoholic beverage while soaking in the great atmosphere.
A big shoutout to Martin, the barman, who made sure my drinks were always full, and Angeline, the waitress, who constantly checked in to ensure I was happy. John, the chef, prepared some absolutely amazing food, and Bevin, the manager, went above and beyond by making me the most incredible waffle wrapped in bacon—a must-try!
If you’re looking for great food, friendly service, and a relaxed vibe, Confluence Restaurant is the place to be! Highly recommended!
‼️Bring your own bottle of wine / whisky, etc. as their liquor license is still in the pipeline, no corkage charged ‼️
The bill has some incredibly useful features!
It gives you the actual amount you’ll need to pay if you’d like to split the bill
2 ways / 3 ways/ 4 ways or 5 ways!
They even work out 3 gratuity options for you, so you don’t have to do any calculations. How awesome is that?!
We went today.
It was quiet and the fare was decent.
The sweet chicken pizza was flavourful as was the “firecracker” arraibiata.
The service was slow and the bill and the passionfruit lemonade was biffed up.
Coffe was average as was the strawberry mocktail.
All in all an average experience .
Ordered Calamari( R110) served with option of chips ,rice, vegetables.
I decided on Lemon and herb calamari with half chips half rice. The mixture of calamari tubes and tentacles was flavorful, well presented and a generous portion. The fresh garnish was like a mini salad!
Was impressed with a wine list that had 5 whites and 4 reds for under R200 a bottle.
Restaurant and restrooms were clean and well lit.
Pete the waiter was friendly and efficient but never a nuisance.
A table of 10 arrived and orderedribs(available in 2 sizes) and pizzas.
I could see “Big boy” the pizza chef create his magic.pizzas looked delicious and the aroma tempting. I am definately going back to try the pizzas and will report back.
Tuesday specials on hamburgers and biltongpotjie at Confluence, plus the news that their liquor lisence was finally in place, made us inquisitive. We
heard on the Melville grapevine that the burgers were good and we were not disappointed!
Value for money indeed. Any hamburger stand or fall by its meat patty. Ours were meaty and done to perfection!
Our burgers were not smothered in any of the traditional burger sauces, which made us appreciate the fresh stacks before us.
A simple meal served efficiently and with a smile.
We will be back soon, as the menu holds a few more interesting dishes that we would like to try.
Thank you Confluence!
1st impressions in December:
The doors are finally open – at a peep – but open!
We were met at the door by a very friendly waitress and very neat tables.
The menu is small but with interesting, tasty offerings, like a “braaibroodjie” made as it should be with no frills – just tomato, cheese and onion and grilled on a “braai rooster” (Somebody at the back knows what traditional means and not to mess with the basics!)
The menu at the moment is a “tide-over” while the final touches are done in and about the restaurant before the official opening and their Christmas lunch.

May success and great happenings unfold under the umbrellas at Confluence!
