Confessional Coffee & Pastry is a minimalist coffee shop with a strong, consistent theme—and it’s done right. The space has an old-church aesthetic interpreted in a modern, thoughtful way. I loved the attention to detail, especially the separate, partially blocked-off seating areas that create a sense of privacy while still feeling open.

The barista was patient, knowledgeable, and great at giving recommendations, answering all of our questions without rushing us. One thing I really appreciated is that they make their syrups in-house. I tend to avoid drinks made with store-bought syrups, so this was a big plus.

I ordered The Holy Trinity, which was excellent—especially if you enjoy bold, full flavors. I highly recommend trying that one and warm. We also tried the Blueberry Latte after it was recommended. It wasn’t quite my personal preference, but it was still good and would be a solid choice if you enjoy fruity lattes.

The shop is spacious, with plenty of room between tables, making it a great place to work, read, or meet up with people without feeling crowded. The pastries looked unique and delicious, though I didn’t have the appetite to try them this time.

We spent about $15 on two drinks, which feels typical for coffee shops these days. Overall, a thoughtfully designed space with quality drinks and a great atmosphere.

I love coming here to relax and get some caffiene before work! The staff is the best, I love the atmosphere, and the pastries and coffee are visually appealing and delicious! I can’t get enough of the iced blueberry latte, the espresso here is so tasty. Today I tried the mixed berry muffin and it was so good! Thank you for another lovely experience!

Such a beautiful coffee shop and fun trendy experience. I really appreciate the attention to the Catholic theme; The logo, wall decor, confessional “booths”, cup and plate choices, Togo cup sleeves, and even the Wi-Fi password are well thought-out and add to the experience. A true creative owns and loves this place.

I also really appreciate that they too support local businesses through their use of Akron Honey and Ohio Tea Co products.

I really enjoyed my drinks. Service is friendly and the pastries are amazing. HIGHLY recommend the raspberry morning bun!! This is also a great place to work, they have free wifi, there’s plenty of tables, and ample plugs for laptops.

I love this new coffee spot. The location is tough bc it’s hard to see it from the road, and parking could be tricky with all the businesses around it. I love the Catholic, confessional, old school church vibe they are going for, even the three spaces that are like confessional booths for people to work. Tons of seating. I think they have a long way to go on making the space more in line with the theme but they will get there. Coffee is excellent! Pastries are excellent! Service is out of this world. Nice job making an original coffee place. I’ll be back!

This place was nice. The prices were a little high I’d say. It’s an intriguing place. Staff were friendly, service extremely fast, my coffee wasn’t the greatest in the world (but that’s just a personal opinion). CLEANEST PUBLIC BATHROOM IVE EVER BEEN IN. 10/10 for the bathroom. If the bathroom wasn’t so nice it would’ve gotten 3/5 stars. It was hard to find the building. I recommend a bit more signage.

So excited to have this new, local gem open!

I went on the first day of business, and because this place is run and owned by experienced baristas the service was flawless. Questions were answered intelligently and information was shared with a smile!

We got: a vanilla latte, a mocha, a French onion brioche roll & a mixed berry muffin. I will be dreaming of that French onion roll for DAYS. The coffee drinks were so well done; not outshining the espresso but still well-flavored.

Inside, it’s a pretty typical coffee shop ambiance. Clean & minimal — plenty of space for working solo or with others as well as little “confessional booths” with tables to meet with others that feels a little more private (though still open to the public). Can’t wait to drag my computer along and work here for many years to come!

This place is a must try if your in the area. The ladies behind the counter were amazing. They helped and offered their recommendations on drinks. If your in the area and need a meeting place or a place for home work they have plenty of space. Always try to support small business . If your needing coffee, treats, a study space this is a true one stop shop. We will be back tongst coffee in the future.

The pastry with cream and strawberries was hands down the best pastry I’ve ever had. We also tried the blueberry muffin and it was delicious. It’s welcoming and cozy with an artistic inspired feel. Great place to checkout and stay a little while before going about your day.
