Located at the bus intersection of 441 and Hollywood Boulevard, Con Hambre has a wide-ranging menu of seafood, chicken, and pork dishes, plus a selection of pastas.
There’s plenty of TVs, and a music playing at a reasonable volume. The wait staff is personable… not overly friendly, but not rude.
I wasn’t super hungry during my visit, so I kept it light with a small salad and passion fruit lemonade, which was recommended by the employee who took my order. The juice was good and the salad was a decent size for $6. It didn’t come with dressing, but the employee brought me a small container of condiments that sit on the larger tables.
When it was time to pay I noticed the automatic 15% gratuity added to the check.
While the atmosphere inside the restaurant is nice, I’d be remiss to not point out that there’s a car detailing business that consumes most of the parking lot in front of the restaurant.

I tried Con Hambre in Hollywood and it honestly just felt good being there. The place is really clean — not just tidy, but actually well kept — which always matters to me when I’m eating somewhere new.
The customer service was great. Everyone was welcoming, and Madilenne especially stood out. She was so friendly and kind, and you can tell she genuinely cares about the people who walk in. It didn’t feel transactional — it felt personal.
I had the sancocho and mofongo. The sancocho tasted like real Dominican comfort food — rich broth, soft viandas, tender meat, and that deep flavor that reminds you of home. The mofongo was soft, garlicky, and not dry at all — just made right.
It’s hard to find Dominican food that actually tastes authentic, and this place really delivers. I left full, happy, and already thinking about going back.

Lovely little spot with cute decor. Now, the food, the service, and the drinks did not disappoint. I had the chicharron de cerdo as an appetizer. So good, crispy on the outside and moist and delicious on the inside. The steak and chicken breast were cooked to perfection. The food was fresh and perfectly seasoned. Nice portions. They don’t spare on the food or the drinks. You only need one to relax. I tried the Tequila Sunrise and Fresca y coco daquiri. Great place for family or a date. Hey, get an authentic hand car wash while dining. I definitely will be returning. Don’t be scared of a little gratuity being included. It’s worth it!

We were there for lunch ( two people). We ordered one mondongo ( beef tripe )with fry plantains (tostones) we also ordered fried pork with tostones. The food was well prepared, well presented and tasted very good. The restaurant is clean inside but, there is a car wash outside the front door of the restaurant. The outside view is not pretty. Parking is across the street. Price: $$$ I believe that the price is a bit high for the location and outside view. Also, they included the tip for only a party of two.

The chimi was authentically prepared I noticed by the cabbage cut so perfectly thin. The tostones were not too crunchy just how I like it. And the juices all natural. This place is my new best one yet. I give a lot of 5 stars but not because I’m easily impressed I just have good taste.

I recently ate with a group of six, and we all were have great things to say. The place is welcoming, the staff were super friendly, and the food was amazing. Each of us tried a different dish, so we got to taste six different plates—and all of them were awesome. The presentation was great, and the flavors were on point.

Came in while detailing my car to kill time and was very pleasantly surprised it’s very nicely remodeled inside clean and comfortable with plenty of seating and great service with AMAZING FOOD!!!

I’ve seen this restaurant for awhile when going to the Carwash. But tried i it for the first time today. I was blown away on how good the service and food is. I had the steak with onions which comes with rice, beans and a salad along with a passion fruit juice. It was perfectly cooked, seasoned and the portion was very good. Just to note a 15% service charge is automatically added which i don’t mind as the service was good, wait time short and the pricing was already reasonable. Highly recommend! Don’t underestimate because it’s located beside a Carwash. Do go!
