Visited this place and was greeted with a welcoming staff. Our waitress was amazing! Food was great. I ordered the Pirates Feast which was loaded with meats.

Cool to see the variety of options for toast. You usually see “white or wheat” only. I had the sour dough bread.

My wife’s Shrimp and Grit’s surprised us with the amount of shrimp it contained. So big plus on that!

We will certainly be back to try other plates from their menus.

Amazing food and people! Family ran, they take pride in what they offer. This area really needed this. You can grab-n-go, dine in, dine out! I came in for their ‘soft opening’, please be patient with them as they work out any kinks for their first few days! I promise the food is worth it.

Compass grill is exactly what cedar point needed!
From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with welcoming smiles by waitresses that genuinely care about each one of their customers. The wait if any is extremely short. They also have long tables ideal for larger parties or if your friends happen to stop in they can join you. It’s like a community table where you feel at home.
The biggest stand out for me especially is where other restaurants lack is the owner checks on you personally. I mean where can you go that the owner is actively involved whether its greeting guests, checking on tables, bringing food out and talking to guests/friends? Something as simple as bringing out crayons to a child is what we witnessed today. I have never been more impressed.
I don’t think Paul has ever met a stranger. Paul adds a personal touch that most restaurants lack and it shows from the moment you enter.

Let me get to the food.. we both had Pauls plate I think it’s called? Hamburger steak with mushrooms and onions ,gravy mashed potatoes and mac n cheese. All cooked to perfection. I cannot wait to go back and try more dishes but they all looked amazing.

Whether you’re a local or just passing through Cedar Point add Compass grill to your must visit list!

This is a coastal mom and pops restaurant. It has a large variety of food to choose from, with breakfast, lunch and dinner items. Also, there is a children’s menu that does have some unusual names, as you can see in the photos I’ve added. Seating is a larger area, but may not seem like it, due to the fact they can get very busy. Also the restaurant is not cheap, but neither is the food, so it seems the owners are trying to set the cost with the areas prices. To me, it was a nice place to have lunch and I plan on going again.

Great food, professional and efficient staff, worth the wait! Do you enjoy REAL southern collards? Bingo! Food grilled or fried to perfection no matter animal
Or vegetable?? Score! Want a gut-busting omelette??? May I recommend The Pirate! This is the best comfort food on Hwy 24!!!

Place is going to be jammed this Summer….locals – eat there while you can before the annual seasonal
circus arrives/departs!!!

Outstanding food!! Beautiful restaurant. Friendly and helpful staff. Wonderful new addition to the area. I can’t wait to visit again. The only thing I could find to complain about was it was a bit chilly inside and they aren’t open everyday! Definitely take the time to check it out.

Four of us had lunch at the new Compass Grill today, 2/15/2026, for the first time. Three had the flounder with FF and coleslaw. One had a burger and FFs. 1) I ordered steak fries from the menu, but when meals arrived, there were FFs on plate. I asked to have the steak fries and was told they don’t carry them. HMMM. 2) All three flounders were badly over cooked/dried out/shriveled/tough to cut with a knife! 3) French Fries were room temperature and wilted…yuck. 4) Coleslaw was terrible (and we all love coleslaw!). Barely cool, milky, over peppered, and odd flavor. 5) Very over priced!
6) The burger was ordered cooked medium…but arrived well done. 7) Seating was not ideal, as we sat at an 8-top tall table with 3 people we didn’t know. That was okay…but there was just one set of S&P/etc. for all of us to share. The wait staff were friendly, but never returned to see if we needed anything.
The question below about “spend per person” does not ask about a tip. We paid $25 per person INCLUDING the tip. We will definitely NOT be back!

Great food! Freshly made with quality ingredients, perfectly cooked. What elevates it to fine dining is the heart and love that the staff puts into cooking and serving the community. It’s a fine family place where the villagers and newcomers are greeted with authentic and honest care and smile. It’s always about people, serving and caring for people!!! No one can EVER top that! Very grateful to have such an inspirational example in Cedar Point

From Xiaowen: My good friend took me here for lunch—wow! This was the biggest burger lunch I’ve ever had. I jokingly called it a “buffet burger” because it was so huge I couldn’t finish it in one sitting. The ground beef was juicy and flavorful. The staff were very friendly, and the place felt warm and welcoming, almost like home. Highly recommended⭐️

My wife Margie and I went to Compass Grill for breakfast this morning. Highly recommend this place. Had the Crabcakes Eggs Benedict. It was excellent! Eggs perfectly poached, hollandaise sauce was the best I’ve ever tasted. Crabcakes were perfectly balanced and could definitely taste the crab. She had the scrambled eggs and French toast and she loved it! Definitely going back.
