Common Variety made my wedding cakes (2 cakes!) and catered my post-wedding brunch. I couldn’t have asked for more beautiful and delicious food or cakes. Everything was so thoughtfully made–both tasteful and tasty! Also, Tawni & Molly are so kind and easy to work with. Can’t wait to try more of their amazing food!

Such a lovely new cafe! Came by for brunch and enjoyed a delicious egg sandwich with delicate crispy cotto (a kind of ham) on a homemade English muffin. Best egg sandwich I’ve ever had! My partner had the savory porridge, with an egg, great veg, and a chili crisp, and a sticky bun which was fabulous with a carmelized buttermilk glaze. It’s a beautiful space with great energy and friendly people, enthusiastically recommended!

This place is a cozy haven! The pumpkin almond cake thing was delicious. The staff, so kind. The bathroom soap even smells amazing. I can’t say enough good things about this new addition to the Pioneer Valley!!

I’ve been here a handful of times and it’s always awesome. The baristas are masters, every drink I’ve gotten has been expertly made. Like take sip and say “Wow” out loud good. Egg sandwich with veggies is incredible. Service is sweet and friendly. Yes, it’s pricey, but it’s GOOD, so it’s worth it to me. Happy they are here!

Foodie paradise! Can’t believe a place this good has opened in Montague. We love the deli sandwiches (best pumpernickel ever), the scones, basically we love everything — all of it made with excellent ingredients by people who treat cooking as an art form. I hate to admit that their homemade soups, available to go, are better than my own. Ditto for the chicken salad, made with fresh dill, that’s truly the best I’ve ever had. The coffee is also amazing. Worth the drive!!

I am in love with Common Variety! Some of the best house-baked sweet treats and bread I’ve had in a while. I had one of the tastiest sandwiches of my life there (the trout sandwich – get it.) The coffee is great, too. A must if you’re ever headed down that way! I hope they stick around for a long time to come.

It’s always heartening to see sustainable restaurants popping up outside of major cities. Common Variety not only utilizes fresh ingredients from local farms, but I really appreciate seeing that they also source coffee & various market provisions from outside of the Massachusetts area. It’s awesome to be able to support small businesses from all over in a one-stop shop.
The menu is well-thought out; adding a tastefully elevated feel to warm, cozy classics. From what I can tell, everything is made in-house, and I find that really special.
These ladies have built something very prosperous here, I think. Let’s give it up for grassroots, woman-owned businesses built on blood, sweat, and love!

A new gem. Food is delicious and nourishing (try the trout sandwich on pumpernickel—it’s unlike anything around!). Atmosphere is cozy and beautiful. The people are friendly and service is prompt. You can tell it’s a labor of love.
Truly a new go-to spot for breakfast, lunch, and get-togethers in the Valley. Worth the beautiful drive from Amherst/Noho.

What a gem!
My friend and I split the smoked trout sandwich, which was fantastic. The homemade bread & melt in your mouth trout really elevated the sandwich.
We also ordered a scone and muffin. Both of which were crispy & brown on the outside, yet soft and moist on the inside.
Can’t wait to go back and try more items.

Absolutely lovely cafe and market with a thoughtful menu including fresh and delicious ingredients as well as fresh baked bread. Breakfast all day, but we went for lunch. There are also coolers to pick up high quality staples (eggs, meat, greens, etc.) The smoked trout sandwich was fantastic! Staff were all friendly and the bright dining area was welcoming and comfortable.
