We went as a group of 9 and sat in the outside area which was decent. We had brussel sprouts, karaage, fries, and bao buns which were all very good. The entree we tried were the hot honey chicken sandwich, chicken and waffles, and steak fries. Every chicken dish was amazing and the steak was alright.

Cons: The wine selection was limited and very overpriced. Brussels sprouts were charred over burnt. Not to my liking. My broccoli was also charred. The steak was ok but comes with an overpowering spicy sauce on top. (Ask for it in the side.). The broccoli was burnt. They need to stop burning their food. Burnt food is just not appetizing. Take the flamethrower away from the chef!

Common Stock is PEAK brunch action in San Diego! We hit up this spot heading back to the airport and it was an absolute revaluation. We sat down with our party of 3 and ordered a burger with an egg on it and chilaquiles with chicken. ABSOLUTELY incredible food, the raddest of vibes, and perfectly balanced drinks. This is my favorite brunch spot in California and I wish I was closer. A MUST VISIT!!!

The BEST espresso martini I’ve ever had anywhere. The food was phenomenal, we had the curry hummus, the broccoli, and the Kaarage Chicken Bites, and they were all creative and amazing. The combination of sauces was so unique and tasty, we are so happy we stopped in during our visit to San Diego. The culinary highlight of our trip thus far. The service was also wonderful – attentive, friendly, this place was perfection.

Common Stock is an excellent choice for high-quality cuisine at an affordable price, all while providing a perfectly lit ambiance. Their Nashville Hot Chicken is scrumptious, and the drinks selection blend tradition with experimentation. In addition, I’ve been mesmerized by the $6 banoffee tart that tastes like a $30 one! The service was friendly and prompt, and I look forward to returning.

I live out of town, and stumbled on this place one night on a work trip. Taylor (the red head) made the BEST half skinny half skinny margarita, and customized my order to suit my non-dairy needs. June also attended and even sought to create a custom sauce for my fries. Everything was so wonderful I came back the very next night. Come, enjoy and ask for Taylor!

Came here on my birthday after a quick google search. It was the perfect choice. I think they had the Rihanna Spotify playlist playing bc banger after banger was playing. The two waiters were very attentive and really friendly. I ordered the Alexis rose to drink and it was really nice. We split the hot honey sandwich, the ribs, the roasted carrots and parsnips, and the fries. We finished everything except one rib because we were absolutely stuffed! I really enjoyed the dressing for the carrots. It tasted a little like goat cheese. The ribs were so tender as well. I mentioned it was my bday and the waiter sent us two chocolate chip cookies which were freshly baked and absolutely amazing. If I lived here I would be back often!

My partner and I went to Common Stock for brunch last week and had such a great experience. The Bloody Mary and espresso martini were both so good, and the hot honey chicken sandwich was incredible.
I really wish I remembered our server’s name because he was absolutely wonderful, attentive, friendly, and made us feel right at home. Such a great find in Hillcrest, super welcoming and LGBTQ-friendly. We’ll definitely be back!

Cool spot with an upscale modern vibe. I like restaurants that have an open feeling and Common Stock has two large garage doors that bring natural light into the restaurant. Will probably be a really fun place in the summer months.
The food was very good. Highly recommend having the chicken and waffles as well as the brussel sprouts.
Can be difficult finding parking on the street.
