This bakery is quite the local legend ✨ The moment I walked in, there were about 4–5 groups already lined up for their fresh bread and sandwiches. Of course, I had to try their pesto smoked-chicken sandwich too—but personally, Zingerman’s Delicatessen still wins my heart

A Truly Common Good Experience in Traverse City

My wife and I visited from Ohio, and from the moment we stepped into Common Good, we felt welcomed—not just as customers, but as part of something meaningful.

We started with the chicken sandwich, stacked with vibrant heirloom tomatoes and tucked into perfectly toasted artisan bread. The house pickles added the perfect tang, and the chopped salad was crisp, refreshing, and full of flavor. I sipped on a smooth iced coffee that hit the spot.

But it didn’t stop there.

We enjoyed it so much, we came back for dinner—and let me tell you, the Amelia Pizza was incredible. Truly good for the soul. Every bite was layered with flavor, warmth, and care. We could feel the intention behind the food.

Another favorite moment? Sitting with a hearty Caesar salad, anchovies and all, while soaking in the uplifting energy. One of the team members wore a shirt that said “Do Good, Every Day”—and that spirit echoed through the entire experience.

Whether you’re a local or visiting like us, this place is a gem. The care, the craft, the community spirit—it’s all here.

We’re already looking forward to seeing you again next year. From Ohio with love—keep up the excellence!! It was nice to meet own Jason, and our server Ella and staff members.

I stopped by Common Goods and tried their lattes. They were decent — great if you enjoy a medium roast with a slightly acidic finish, not my favorite. I also tried the chocolate flourless cake, it was good but small. However, the lemon raspberry tart was absolutely delicious — bright, fresh, and packed with flavor! Prices are a little on the higher side, but the quality and cozy atmosphere make it worth checking out.

We visited Common Good Bakery for breakfast sandwiches before golf on Friday and went back on Sunday for more!

The house breakfast sandwiches were wonderful! The egg patty thick and the bread homemade. The bread really made sandwich in my opinion. Both ham and bacon options were yummy, though I preferred the ham.

The prices seemed too high to me, and I understand the area I was in and the time of year. Given that, that’s the only reason I am leaving a 4 star review

It’s rare to find a vibe that fits a fantastic narrative and fulfills the expectation set by their mission statement. This is the place. Great food and free smells you actually want to sniff. The breakfast sandwiches and toasts were top tier and crave-worthy. The front staff knowledgeable and helpful to us newcomers. Thank you for a warm and wonderful experience during the cold winter months! We will be back.

Cozy bakery. The staff was really friendly and helpful picking out items since it was our first time. Coffee was on point, did not leave me wanting in any way. The breakfast croissant sandwich with eggs and bacon, a staple of any breakfast joint, was phenomenal. I highly recommend any of the loaded toasts, especially the one with a poached egg, tomatoes, and ricotta cheese.

I ordered a Whipped Ricotta Toast and my boyfriend got a Feelin’ Spicy breakfast sandwich. Both our meals were delicious. Coming from Texas he was impressed with the chorizo!

We had an amazing breakfast experience at Common Good! My wife and I started with the ricotta egg croissant and the whipped ricotta toast—both were absolutely delicious. The flavors were fresh and well-balanced, and the coffee was excellent too.

We couldn’t resist trying the cherry chocolate croissant and the cheesecake afterward, and they were both out of this world. Everything was made with care and tasted homemade in the best possible way. Highly recommend this spot if you’re looking for a cozy, flavorful, and high-quality breakfast or brunch!

Perfect spot to spend a Sunday afternoon and watch the cars go by. The staff was so cheerful and friendly, and the pastries were so deliciously flakey.
