Common Block Brewing Co. is easily one of my favorite stops in downtown Medford! The atmosphere is great, and the food consistently hits the mark. During my most recent visit, I tried two items that I can’t stop thinking about:
The Cobb Salad: This is a masterclass in how a Cobb should be done. It’s loaded with grilled chicken, fresh avocado, crisp bacon, egg, and blue cheese crumbles, all tied together with a perfect blue cheese vinaigrette. The ingredients are arranged beautifully, and every bite is fresh and satisfying.
Cold Brew Chicken Tacos: These are a must-try! The chicken is tender and flavor-packed, but the real star is the Case Coffee Cold Brew Sauce—it adds such a unique, rich depth. Topped with fresh cabbage slaw and cilantro in flour tortillas, they are the perfect balance of savory, crunchy, and bright.
Whether you’re in the mood for a hearty salad or some of the most unique tacos in Southern Oregon, you can’t go wrong here. Great beer, even better food. I’ll definitely be back!

We are visiting our daughter who lives in Ashland, and after a day of shopping in Medford, she insisted we come here for lunch. She was right! Everything about our visit was exceptional. From the decor to the service to the food and drinks. Amazing! Top items: crawfish & shrimp chowder and the fish and chips. I also had a peach mojito, well, I had two of them. In the picture of the fish & chips, be forewarned that it doesn’t look like a lot of food because we started gobbling it down before the photo was taken. Sorry not sorry.

We had a delightful experience! Our family want for an early dinner and were seated immediately. Started off with a pretzel with a tasty cheese sauce. Pizza was delicious (crust was more of a baking soda risen vs yeasty), burger was on point (maybe could have been improved if the bun was toasted), chicken on the Caesar salad was super juicy and salads were fresh. The brownie dessert was classic and well done. I had a strawberry basil sour, which was very lemon forward. The beers were great too. I really appreciated the converted space in the historic building. Would recommend and would go again!

Pretty cool place that is fully sprinkled. We had the cheese curds and pretzel to start. They were both delicious. The cheese curds were crispy but didn’t seem over fried. I had the Modern Cowboy with Buffalo. The burger was cooked to perfection and had a good taste. The fries had the perfect crispy outside and soft inside. My wife had the nachos. They were good, but there are better options.

Stopped here on the way down to California! Really cool place and with yummy food. It is typical bar food like pizza, burgers, etc. but it was exactly what we were looking for and it hit the spot! I recommend the Cobb Salad – it was refreshing and filling and came with plenty protein and veggies. It was super hot out but we got to still enjoy the weather under a shaded tent. They have a cool shipping container where they serve beer from. We ordered through a QR code so it was simple and honestly the thing was a breeze. Would come again.

Our first time there and did not realize it is one of them places you gotta scan a code on the table to order food. You can also order at a counter though.
Our small group had beer, cocktails, pretzel, sweet potato fries (surprisingly crispy),

I had dinner here tonight, and the staff was absolutely amazing—super attentive and friendly, a huge improvement now that servers are back in action instead of just the self-order QR codes.
The food was outstanding: the wings, fish tacos, and burger were honestly the best they’ve been in the last 5 years. Perfectly cooked and full of flavor. Drinks were spot-on as always. highly recommend!

Update: Their spinach salmon salad is amazing!
Nice outside seating with heaters at every table. Outside food cart for convenient ordering and then they bring you your order and provide table service. Food came out quickly. Hot pretzel with cheese dip is yummy. Carrots and cauliflower plate was unique and fun.
