Cute spot, but they’re robbing you blind. Most places are now so it is what it is. I know I’ve ordered a mimosa here in the past so I was excited but what I got today is dangerously close to being my 13th reason. Also, you can tell by the color that I got a whisper of champagne.

Disappointed isn’t the word.

I ordered “breakfast potatoes” and got a box of whole baby potatoes. I actually ordered several à la carte breakfast items to sit down and eat and they all came to me in boxes rather than on a plate. Just ridiculous for the price.

Food was good, tasted very fresh and had good flavor.

Service however was awful. First time here and coming from out of town, looked for a breakfast place with family and as I was reading the menu the tall lady taking our order was incredibly impatient and had so much attitude when we were ordering and kept asking “is that it?” in the most rude tone and flipping the screen (3 times) for us to pay as we added things to our order.
I didn’t even order anything for myself because I had questions about some items I was debating on but didn’t want to ask because the lady seemed incredibly annoyed by our order (which wasn’t long it was 4 items and a coffee).

I would NOT recommend coming here – there are other places nearby with food just as good at the same price with better service and cleanliness.

I got the Burnt Brown Sugar latte and an avocado toast with scramble egg on top. The seasonin on toast was perfection! The latte was everything I wanted it to be and the service was excellent!!

My husband and I got breakfast here a couple times during our visit in Dallas. I had the Pistachio Oat Latte, Bagel sandwich and avocado toast with salmon during my visits and all were phenomenal. The Avocado toast has a slight heat to it with the chili oil addition, which was a great surprise and the salmon add on was a large cut, definitely worth the price. The bagels were SO GOOD! Soft yet crisp on the outside. Would definitely recommend

My wife & I had breakfast at Commissary at 10:30am on a Sunday. It was pretty busy but we were able to share a table with another couple. My wife enjoyed her Smoked Salmon Bagel, & I had the Breakfast Burrito which was delicious and perfectly prepared. I especially loved the chipotle salsa that came with it. The food was of great quality & decently priced. My only criticism would be that the dining area was a little messy & the floors and tables could be wiped down & swept more frequently, but we would 100% eat here again.

Rather generic baked goods and a few hot breakfast dishes. Non-descript coffee. Spacious, open seating area.

I had the pleasure of visiting Commissary at 1217 Main Street in Dallas, and it was nothing short of exceptional. I ordered the coconut banana oatmeal, and let me tell you—it was delicious. Creamy, perfectly balanced in flavor, and so satisfying that I could have stopped right there.

But I couldn’t resist trying more. The breakfast potatoes were a standout—well-seasoned, tender on the inside, and cooked to perfection. The portion size is generous—easily enough to share with a friend (trust me, you’ll want to). The bacon came out beautifully curly, adding a touch of fun to the plate, and both the potatoes and bacon were served in a charming cardboard box with a see-through top. The presentation? Spot on.

The atmosphere of the restaurant is cozy, inviting, and stylish—perfect for a relaxed breakfast or brunch. At a price point of $22 for everything I ordered, it was well worth it, though I probably could have just enjoyed the oatmeal and been completely satisfied. But everything looked so good, I wanted to taste it all—and I’m glad I did.

If you’re looking for great food, excellent presentation, and a welcoming atmosphere in downtown Dallas, Commissary is the place to go. Five stars all the way! Highly recommend.

I got the Turkish eggs and it was way better than I expected it to be. Very flavorful and the baguette that came with it was beyond amazing! Would love to try more stuff at some point but I don’t live very close

One of the best cafes in Dallas. Service is great. Their food and baked goods are delicious. Their pb chocolate chip cookie is the best I’ve ever had. Great spot!
