I absolutely love the town square where this is located. What an awesome area. Unfortunately, my cod was overcooked and hard. It did have a good flavor. I appreciated the salad, it was lovely.

Great place to dine in Boonville. 1st time to be here and it puts the long time resturants in the area to shame.

We walked in, they were busy..maybe 4 open tables and 1 server.

After a little talk with our server we ordered our food and it was brought out rather quickly!

Food, service and atmosphere was good ZERO complains

If were in the B and hungry will be stopping in again!

Overall an excellent experience. Service was a bit slow but they were busy so that was understandable. Layout is a bit tight so some people might not like the atmosphere. The food was very good. The Buffalo chicken meatballs had just the right amount of heat for us. Everyone enjoyed their entrées and the butter cake was a delicious way to cap it off. Their old fashioned is solid, but you can find better in Evansville.

We started off with fried mushrooms and they tasted like fresh morels that I just picked and fried at home and the portion was huge! My wife had a side salad and it was a perfectly dressed salad with lots of cheese. She got the special which was an absolutely large portion of lasagna and I got the Double Commander. This burger is so good, it is a double patty with a sweet bourbon glaze with mushrooms and homemade fried onion strings. The flavor of the meat is as fresh as I would taste as getting freshly ground beef from the butcher. I would highly recommend!

Raising one star because the business did apologize. I understand being short-staffed for whatever reason. We would have been much more understanding if server would have said hey we’re short-handed and I will do the best I can to serve you. Also, if there’s a problem with the iPad just say that there’s a problem with the iPad or this is new equipment or it’s running slow so please be patient with me. Notice on the front end goes a really long way so that your patrons can be more patient and understanding given the situation. If they don’t know the situation they just see what they see. Food was good. Server was cranky and appeared challenged by the iPad. Acted irritated that we asked to order when he only wanted to take our drink orders. Replied with it’ll be a few minutes before I can take your order. When ordering a hamburger with cheese, he kept cutting me off after asking me what I wanted on it. Wait… I have to put this in… Felt treated rudely. Dill pickles were very good with two dipping sauces. The burgers on soft buns (yum), salad and fries were all very tasty. The runner was nice and so was the hostess who served as the cashier because the server was too busy. Bathroom was tiny with the toilet being tight against the wall. Only one for both male and female and the floor around toilet was wet.

We ventured outside of Evansville and went to Boonville to this popular place that everyone raves about. We understand why the fuss. The atmosphere was relaxed, warm, and welcoming. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food oh so good. Had the big pork chop. It was BIG!! 20 ounces big! I sorta expected it to be dry or over cooked as something that’s 3 inches thick is harder to cook. But they were able to get perfection on their cook. Oh and the salad that came with the meal was one of those that makes you want another. It had pepperoni, bacon, mozzarella and so much more. we shared the mushrooms and dill pickles. Both had a spicy breading and came with two dipping sauces. To me I went with the Ranch because they were spicy enough and did not need the spicy dipping sauce but my friends said the spicy dipping sauce made them even better. More power to them, right. They were crispy and on point with taste. I would have been happier if the breading had been less spicy but that’s just me. I still ate my share. If you want a short adventure try this place.

I ate the Pork chop special. My wife had the breaded tenderloin, my kids had a burger and a chicken sandwich. Everything was excellent. The salad was delicious and the fried mushrooms were exceptional. The couple we were with shared a rib-eye steak and also said it was delicious. I plan on coming back on a Friday to try the prime rib. This is located on the square in between two other great places, Millers 5 & 10 and Trickeys coffee.

Me and my friend went for lunch and it was our 1st time there. We both ordered the Philly cheese steak sandwich and fries. And an order of the breaded mushrooms for an appetizer. The mushrooms were the best I have ever had and the Philly cheese steak was great. Compliments to the chef! Thank you for a pleasant experience.

Our friends treated us to this restaurant one Sunday after church, and when I told my wife about it, we decided to take a trip to Boonville. Commander’s Grill serves excellent food and offers a wide range of options. Fried chicken was cooked and seasoned to perfection and is unquestionably the restaurant’s hallmark dish. The salads were delicious, as was the burger. It is owned and maintained by a local family, and it is well worth your time to visit.

Cool atmosphere, great food and service. Especially for the price point, I don’t understand the reviews that say they are overpriced it’s not much more than fast food and much better quality.
