Locals go here but we stayed @ the hotel so it was convenient to walk down to the lobby and into this bar for amazing drinks poured by Ming & Gary. Karaoke 3 nights a week was a hit too! I’d recommend this place to anyone seeking fun in Old Saybrook.

This spot is the perfect example of where Google reviews can be absolutely misleading. Do not go here if you are expecting a coconut water mojito with freshly hand muddled mint. And a selection of 15 different ipas. There are no “mixologists”…But! If you want to hang out in a completely relaxed and fun atmosphere, sing karaoke, get drunk with fun folks from all walks of life, or take a table to play a board game with your friends and have jello shots… then this place is for you! Zero pretentiousness, great prices, fun staff, pool table, karaoke, and seating Right outside the bar If you need to smoke or just want to sit out . Last time i was there, a group of girls was sitting at a table playing cards and having a couple drinks, people were playing pool, while the packed bar was laughing and singing and people lounged outside. It’s a bit tired but it’s a real bar, like they used to be before everyone got soft and judgemental.

Came for a birthday party and have come before for karaoke. Cool spot to hangout. Had fun on both occasions. Haven’t had food here, but the bar tenders are always hospitable when getting drinks. Has an area to play pool and it’s handicap accessible.

Love this place! Karaoke every Friday and Saturday. It’s just a real cozy place full of regulars, and the people there go out of their way to make everyone feel included and safe. It’s a popular wedding party hotel, so the spring through fall get to be busy and fun!

ox tail was amazing right amount of fat and meat… wasn’t over cooked so was on bone … rice and cabbage were both cooked perfectly… jerk chicken was good with right amount of heat ….been working out of town and made it a stop once a week even with 25 mins each way

Mick hosted karaoke and Ming tended bar. A wedding party came in half way through the night and they did great jobs tending to the people that were already there while also making the new crowd happy as well. Mick has a great karaoke rotation, great sounds system, and a great selection of songs.
