This is a gem. ComeUnity Cafe has an amazing mission and is doing great work. The ingredients are locally sourced (if possible depending on weather) and crafted into interesting combinations such as broccoli grilled cheese, turkey wrap with slaw, sausage rigatoni soup, to name a few. This is a stop I make at least 3 times during my travels to Jackson, TN.

Great food that looks good, tastes good, and is healthy! Love the mission. I wish they had a cookbook!
Edit: Still holding out for that cookbook 🙂
Also, I’m still going here to try new foods that I normally wouldn’t. I’m still surprised that they make things that I think I wouldn’t like, try them, and am pleasantly surprised. They have expanded my horizons in the culinary arena!

Super friendly owner and staff. I loved my sandwich, and so did the people I was with! They had the grilled cheese and really liked it. I also had some of their iced coffee which was good! Nice, cool location and atmosphere.

Visiting ComeUnity is a wonderful experience on many levels. The atmosphere is warm and casual, but also upbeat and bright. The servers are always friendly and attentive. We’ve yet to eat food there that wasn’t spectacular. The ingredients often come from local suppliers (and we know a couple of them and can vouch for their integrity). The chefs make an effort to create unique dishes that compete well with any fine dining establishment. Add to all of the above that by eating there, you are joining Amy Crenshaw and her team in serving the entire community. Delivering all of this in a way that everyone can afford to eat there has to be a daunting financial challenge for the management. I highly recommend ComeUnity Cafe for anyone in the Jackson area at lunch time.

We have been to ComeUnity Cafe more than any other single restaurant in Jackson. Staff and volunteers are always very friendly and helpful, the atmosphere is comfortable, clean and inviting, and the food is always very good. Service is very quick, though not fast food quick, and it would be easy to get something to go on a short lunch break. There are always and least two salad, soup, and sandwich options, always fresh and often made with local ingredients. Beverages are always good (especially the coffee) but you won’t find any soft drinks. The prices are reasonable and are on a donation model. This can be a little confusing at first, but staff is very helpful. If you like trying something new (the menu changes every day) and a place with a social conscience, you’ll love ComeUnity.

The food at this casual restaurant is always outstanding. A choice of two soups, two salads and two sandwiches
which changes everyday.
Staffed by volunteers, you will always run into interesting folks with whom to enjoy lunch.
Very affordable.

ComeUnity Café – to feed -to love- to dignify. Says it clearly & they do! Friendly, inviting atmosphere & great folks serving delicious creative soups, salads & sandwiches. Each day choice of 2 of each. I love the Grilled Havarti cheese with apple slices on gluten free for me! Austin’s soups are amazing & Bo is just as sweet. Salads are just as creative & I love Spring Mix & different lettuces. Open from 11-2, M-F. Can contact them for a special event or fundraiser.

On our visit prompted by Johnny Cash’s ‘Jackson’ we came across this great café. We had a roast beef and cheese press which was delicious. The lovely volunteers explained the concept to us which was that healthy food should be available to all regardless whether they can afford to pay. Suggested amounts of donations are made, those that cannot pay, work for an hour in exchange for food. The whole place is run by volunteers of which there were many. The kind young ladies also made suggestions for our upcoming visit to St Louis which was very appreciated.
