This place is very basic Italian fare with decent service. This was fine good a while, but whole food costs are going up everywhere lately, for very simple pasta, sauce, meatballs, etc., their higher prices and smaller sizes lately make this place a no-go for us going forward.
For $18 dollars you get a small plate with pasta, sauce and a small piece of chicken. Then my neighbor friends catered a birthday party at her house from this same location. She spent over $100 for a half pan of chicken broccoli Alfredo which was only half filled… they were shocked and several of us ended up bringing more food.
After work off we don’t wanna cook, going to a place like this is great despite how easy it would be to cook if the prices are reasonable and/or portions are large like they used to be at small Italian joints.
Next time, I’ll just get some prince pasta, jar of rao’s and some frozen meatballs and save a boatload. I don’t like leaving this kinda review as inflation hits all restaurants but this is too much.

I ordered a chicken avacado wrap that came with no avacado and what appears to be left over salad (lettuce, full cherry tomatoes, cucumbers and shredded carrots). What a disappointment!

for almost a decade I’ve been buying food here. Last week we ordered for pick up 2 Chicken Caesar Wrap and meat balls.
The Chicken Wrap was just all romaine lettuce, maybe 4 pcs slices of chicken didn’t even tasted the Caesar dressing. Not worth the price and getting back…people need to know your service and quality of food is bad.

Comella’s is around 20 minutes away from me but I decided to give it a whirl since I’ve heard good things. For one thing they spelled my name “yan” which isn’t a huge deal but when you have a guy yelling “pick up order for yan!” And you have to walk up as an italian guy named Ryan, it’s a little embarrassing. Then they also gave me a veal Parmigiana sandwich when I asked for chicken parmigiana and ziti. I’m just assuming the guy taking my order was hard of hearing, but if you put in an order over the phone don’t be surprised if they give you grilled alligator instead of a cheese pizza. My mom liked her butternut squash ravioli though so I guess the food is good (I wouldn’t know).

I love Comellas. Especially the meatballs. But. Lately I’ve been getting the mess dishes. I’ve had them in the past and have been very satisfied. In particular Grampas and Pa’s. You’ll be lucky to get a half of a meatball. All pasta. In the Grampas, maybe a half a meatball and half a sausage.
Never going back again.

The food was pretty good and the experience great mainly because my younger brother got to chase a mouse around the restaurant with a cup for 10 minutes straight. My party and I were laughing out butts off watching him and a worker chase this tiny mouse around to try to ketch it. He ended up getting a complementary cookie and in the end was very happy, and so was the mouse! It was a memorable experience. Even though there was a mouse and it was not the most pleasant thing it was surely a night we won’t forget!

It has been several months since I’ve been here. I’ve gone to other locations, even their original place in Wellesley.
This location always made us very happy. For several years we would go at least once a week.
I like the atmosphere and the very long table.
Lasagna is my favorite dish here but I saw a review about the meatball sub. Yes, a must.
I think the guy who left, overreacted. Yes the kids talk but not enough to make me leave.
I miss dining here all the time, then heading to Bubbling Brook
