I am impressed for a restaurant in the “city” the “country” cooking is pretty good. The staff is wonderful and welcoming. I have been stopping in on my way to visit a relative at the hospital. I had turkey and dressing, the special on Thursday, last week, and this week the chicken livers. I am making my way thru the desserts. So far, its all been good. The portions are generous and served up with a smile from Tim and the rest of the staff. Thanks for a little comfort food in a difficult time.

I have an appointment every Monday on the same street as Come N Get It. I purposely try to eat before I head this way because after looking at the menu I just knew Id love it. Well today I came out this way starving so I stopped it. Everything on the menu looked amazing I couldn’t decide so I asked Tim (I think that was his name. Im terrible with names) what I should get and he said the Country Fried Chicken. Sold got it with greens, mac n cheese, and cornbread. It was by far the best country fried chicken I have ever had. Greens and Mac were on point. The cornbread was just okay. Ill try the biscuit next visit….probably next monday.

Everything tastes amazing!!! Good down home cooking!!! All the employees are amazing and very personable. I always get the chicken pot pie, it is so amazing!!!! Their desserts are also amazing and tastes like a sweet little grandma made them. This whole place is just.AMAZING!!!! I definitely recommend any and everybody to visit this place.

I drove by the other day . Didn’t know it was there , read their reviews ( I always read reviews) I brought my brother and husband. The menu has so many choices. It was hard to choose . I had the chicken and dumplings, okra and green beans. The chicken and dumplings were spot on delicious and are better than my homemade I make at home. The fried okra was delicious. Deep fried to perfection. Green beans were just average. My brother got the meatloaf . It was delicious. My husband got the whiting fish fried . It was delicious and the collard greens are delicious! Speckled butter beans are a 1O !!!!! We will definitely eat here again ! Staff is very friendly and a down home atmosphere. They even have books for children to read .

This is a great little place for breakfast. I went in on Friday March 15, 2024 at about 11:15am for some late breakfast (they serve breakfast all day). It’s a walk up counter to order. I had one of the “mamas specials” of eggs, bacon, cheese grits and biscuit. The eggs over medium were perfect, the bacon was good and cheese grits were perfectly thick. The biscuit was fresh and excellent. Great atmosphere with plenty of sitting room and parking. Very convenient location. All staff were polite and professional.

We are from Texas and the brisket here is as close to home as we have had since moving to Georgia in 2019. We have tried brisket everywhere in Atlanta, Powder Springs, Marietta, etc. And it was our best experience yet! The food here is a major plus, deserts and all, but this place is in the Customer Service business and everyone here will make you feel welcome, and appreciated! Finally got to try this low-key family restaurant with an interesting name. Got two takeout orders – friendly and quick service. The grits were fresh and warm. Biscuits were fluffy and not too buttery – just the way I like. BBQ omelets had a nice kick flavor. What a wonderful locale!

First time visit. The employees here were so nice and helpful. I got the kitchen sink breakfast plate and it was good and flavorful. I ordered a side of grits and did not like them. The texture was like baby food as if over cooked way to long. The Mac-n-cheese was not good. The chicken and waffles was delicious! The gravy was good. We also got chicken-n-dumplings, hashbrowns, fried okra, squash casserole, brocolli casserole, biscuits, bacon, and French fries. Most of the food was good. Just not the grits and mac-n-cheese. Will go here again. The chicken was the best.
