The cocktails are another major highlight: the “Mezcalita Corazón” instantly became my favorite and is absolutely worth trying. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the service couldn’t be better; you truly feel welcome.
As a Latina, this place felt like a hug to the heart—authentic flavors that taste like home, right here in Vienna. Definitely a restaurant I would return to again and again. Highly recommended. ✨
I had pollo, beef and mushroom tacos and quesadillas. Pollo is really delicious and its my go to!
One down side I would say is the room we were sitting was extremely loud despite having some empty tables, so we changed our seats.
For drinks we had some micheladas, which were decently priced and delicious. To end the meal we had a very good tres leches cake and a carajillo, both delicious and earned the 3 star rating.
The service was friendly, but inefficient. We were left unattended multiple times for long spans.
Overall I think this place is fine for drinks and desserts, but the main dishes left a poor impression.
They do have good food, but it’s not the best. It’s also quite pricy. Beware the spicy Margherita is extremely spicy, especially for European taste buds.
The service was friendly and kind though. Better to book in advance as it can be crowded
Sure, you can find decent tacos here and there, but discovering an amazing birria, a mole that tastes like your abuela’s recipe, and cocktails that feel like a classic Mexican Sunday with family? That filled my heart with joy and my head with memories.
I love cooking Mexican food for my friends, but it’s nearly impossible to find the right ingredients to properly cook traditional dishes from scratch. At Comal, you can taste the effort and dedication the chef puts into preserving our culinary traditions, as well as her many years of experience in the culinary arts.
It might seem like just another restaurant to some, but for Mexicans who truly love their food, Comal feels like a ticket home.
If you’re looking for a cultural and culinary experience, take the chance and enjoy the flavors, smells and hospitality that you can feel from the moment you walk through the door.
