This place is always my go to stop when traveling to Houston! Their chicken Hu Tieu Mi is always on point!!! Can’t find any place in Austin like this. Everything on this menu is amazing Vietnamese comfort food. I’m addicted to the nuoc cham like a crackhead addicted to crack. If I could give it a Michelin star, I would!!!!!!! Please consider opening a location in Austin in the future!!!! I drive 2 and a half hours for this every other month.

I came in and offered to pay for a small sample of their broth and fish sauce. And they would not sell either to me. If either one of those items turned out to be good then I would have definitely spent money here. Guess I won’t know how the food is until I wanna roll the dice with this place. The food is good. However, the service is not good. Moreover, be careful because tip and tax is included in the food already. You don’t know how much is the tip and tax. Especially, even though the tip is already included, they still give you the receipt where you should add tip with some recommended amount of money! If you didn’t check it carefully, you may pay tips two times!

My partner ordered a large bowl of noodles, but I was served a small bowl. I asked the server whether it was a large or a small bowl, and she confirmed that it was a small. I then told her that I had ordered a large bowl and asked if she could please check.
She said she would add extra noodles, and I told her it was okay and that I could keep the small bowl. However, she insisted on adding extra.
Later, when it was time to pay, I was charged over $34, which confused me because I eat at this restaurant very often and it is usually cheaper. I was not given a receipt, so I asked for one. When I reviewed the bill, it showed that I was charged for a large bowl of noodles, plus an additional $5 for extra noodles, which was never explained or approved by me.
I asked why I was charged for a large bowl when I was clearly told it was a small bowl. The staff then said that the restaurant has only one size, which is not true. I asked to see the menu, and the menu clearly shows two sizes, with only a $1 difference.
So I do not understand why I had to pay the large bowl price, plus an extra $5, when I originally received a small bowl. If there was a mistake, a simple apology would have been sufficient. The customer should not be responsible for paying extra due to the restaurant’s mistake

I had a truly awful experience today. The waitress was incredibly rude throughout the entire visit — and shockingly, this wasn’t the first time we’ve had issues with her. We decided to give the place another chance, but clearly that was a mistake.
What made it even worse was that she manipulated the bill and overcharged us by $10. It was clear she did it intentionally, not an honest mistake. When we questioned it, she got defensive and dismissive instead of owning up to it or even trying to fix the issue.
Unless something changes, we will not be returning!!!!!!!

Please do not lie to save face for your business. It’s clear that you use family members and friends to bring your reviews up. I have no reason to lie. I did view the menu and the lady told me that nothing was available on the menu. And the door was locked behind me. I never said a person followed me out. But you clearly have an automatic lock as i heard it lock behind me. What’s damaging is the way you treat potential customers.
I walked in to try then it about a year ago. I was met with a very rude lady. She said she couldn’t serve me. When I asked why, she said they ran out of food. I quickly left. I decided to try them out once more so I went in today. Again I was meet with the same rude lady who insisted she only had chicken noodles nothing else. I decided to ask a few more questions. She was rude and dismissive the entire time. She claims they didn’t have any other dish, they didn’t even have drinks. Everything was out. She didn’t want us there clearly. When I walked out she locked the door behind me. I initially thought they were racist, but after seeing the same bad reviews from many others, I’m starting to wonder how they stay open and if they may be involved with some illegal activities. But whatever the case they won’t ever have to worry about me coming to try them out a 3rd time. I got the point!

We came here for dinner on Saturday but it was not crowded at all. However my friend said that it was very crowded during lunch on weekdays. I ordered vermicelli dark meat chicken noodle soup and my friend ordered rice chicken & cabbage salad. Only after 5 minutes, the foods were served. The meat was soft, tender and juicy. The broth was flavorful. I definitely come back to try other dishes on menu.

Visited this place with family and it was good and fast! The name of the restaurant has the weird “rice” and “chicken” so naturally ordered that. My wife had one of them many chicken soups(pho?) and my sister had the beef dish. Everything was delicious and the service was friendly.
