Not sure what happened to this place. We have been coming here for over 10 years. It used to be one of the more consistently enjoyable dining experiences in Columbus. However, our last experience was terrible. It should have been a clue when the cocktails took 20 minutes to arrive, and more than 1/2 hour for an appetizer plate of oysters. Our server was totally unfamiliar with the menu and we had to ask for someone to find her to inquire when our meals would be ready It was nearly an hour before the entrees were served. 2 of the four plates were cold and the tastes were very bland. I was embarrassed to have brought family from New Your City here for dinner. When I asked to see the manager I was told she was out and would be back later. This will our last visit to Columbus Fish Market.

Otherwise known as Mitchell’s Fish Market, it has the same high quality that one can expect from this chain. Fresh fish, upscale atmosphere, quality service. We arrived just in time for a great happy hour….that was an unexpected surprise! I love the crabcakes. Overall, we had a great meal and great experience here.

We ate at Columbus Fish Market (Worthington location) tonight and were overall very disappointed with the quality of the food. I ordered the Shanghai Seafood Sampler. The first problem with this dish was that the pyramid of rice, upon which the seafood and spinach beautifully balanced was sitting in 1/4 inch of soy sauce, which soaked the rice. Other issues with this dish: the sticky rice was underdone (dry, not sticky), the scallops and shrimp were slightly overdone and bland, and the spinach was bland (it tasted like it was boiled with no seasoning).

We LOVE the fish Market! We were in last weekend. I ordered from their summer price fixe menu which included an appetizer, entree and mini dessert for a very reasonable price. Great food. Must try the shark fin pie for dessert!

The personnel were wonderful! They went above and beyond to make our night perfect! I had the filet Oscar style and it was amazing. My husband had the seafood plus and he said it was the best meal he’s ever had. Highly recommend and we will come back for sure!!

I went to dinner with my daughter (and son in law) for her birthday on a Tuesday night and had a not so pleasant experience which is not usual for this restaurant. I specifically told them I could not have sesame seeds on my dish and when they finally brought out our food, my plate was missing and the server said they forgot to leave off the sesame seed and needed to remake my dinner. Less than 5 minutes later they brought out my bacon wrapped shrimp which I proceeded to eat and noticed the bacon was practically raw. The mgr came out to apologize and said he wouldn’t charge us for my shrimp (which is the least I would expect) and then awkwardly said what else can I do for you. Honestly he should have been telling me what he would do for me to make our experience better. I didn’t want to make a big deal since it was my daughter’s birthday and just left it at that. He should have offered to comp my entire meal or give me a coupon to come back later. Besides the fact that I could’ve gotten extremely ill eating raw bacon, it just was a weird and awkward experience. He didn’t know how to make things better and seemed so scared to even be talking to us. The restaurant was practically empty so it wasn’t like they had a ton of orders going through the kitchen. Just a bad way to wrap up my daughter’s biethday.

It was pretty good, the only complaint I have is that my tuna(perfect med-rare) seemed to have been previously frozen(or just not great quality). Either way the texture was just a bit off and for the price I expect better. Everything else was really good.

Not impressive food, seafood is mediocre at best. The oysters were a disappointment and then I had the market trio and was disappointed on all three. Scallops tasted like shark or skate stamps, salmon was dried out and had no flavor and the tilapia didn’t taste fresh.
