⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

If you’re in Tampa, you absolutely have to experience Columbia Restaurant! From the moment you walk in, you feel like you’ve stepped into a beautiful piece of history. The atmosphere is warm, vibrant, and full of authentic Spanish charm.

The food is simply outstanding. The 1905 Salad prepared tableside is a must — fresh, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. The paella is cooked to perfection, packed with rich flavors and generous portions. Every dish tastes like it’s made with tradition and pride.

The service was just as impressive. The staff is knowledgeable, friendly, and makes you feel truly welcomed. You can tell they care about giving every guest an unforgettable experience.

Whether you’re celebrating something special or just enjoying a night out, Columbia in Tampa delivers on every level — food, service, and ambiance. Five stars all the way!

We booked reservations for 8:00 and had about a 45 minute wait. That was to be expected. Our waiter was excellent, helping us to decide between dishes and drinks. I had the classic old fashion and my wife had the Sangria . Salads were great. For our meal we had Stuffed Shrimp “ Jessie Gonzalez” and the Pollo Manchego. Desert was the White Chocolate Bread Pudding. Almost forgot the Tapas, Black Bean Cakes so good.

We had lunch at Columbia while visiting Ybor City and had a really nice experience overall. Nate was our server and he was friendly, respectful, and attentive without being overbearing. Service felt relaxed but efficient, which made the meal enjoyable.
While we waited for our food, we were served slices of warm Cuban bread, which was a great start. We ordered empanadas and the Cuban sandwich, and everything tasted excellent. The empanadas were flavorful and fresh, and the Cuban sandwich was one of the best we’ve had — perfectly pressed and packed with flavor. Everyone at the table enjoyed their meals.
We had a reservation for four and arrived on time. There was about a 15-minute wait before we were seated, but the staff was polite and communicative, so it wasn’t a big issue. The restaurant was busy, which is always a good sign.
After eating, we checked out the small gift shop, which had a fun selection of items and added to the overall experience. Between the food, service, and atmosphere, it was a great stop while exploring Ybor City. We’d definitely come back.

We had an incredible dining experience at Columbia. I ordered the Caesar salad, which was made fresh tableside — the presentation was amazing and it tasted just as good as it looked. For my entrée, I had the filet mignon with Spanish rice and vegetables, and it was cooked perfectly and full of flavor.
We also ordered the paella, a classic Spanish dish, which was absolutely delicious and beautifully prepared. For dessert, we enjoyed flan and chocolate chip banana bread pudding, both excellent. We finished the night with a cup of espresso, which was the perfect ending to a wonderful meal. Highly recommend Columbia for both the food and the experience.

I stopped by for lunch and sat at the bar. I really enjoyed the 1905 Salad with turkey and a draft Estrella Galicia. The service was efficient and the atmosphere at the bar made for a great midday meal. It is a very unique restaurant interior worth visiting.

I would give it 10 out of 5 stars if I could. William our server was awesome and the food was incredible. All the hype and the some. Definitely the best paella I’ve ever had. The scallops in it were buttery amazing, every bit of it was incredible.

Excellent food and service with phenomenal and amazing space and attraction. It is designed perfectly and each section has a different theme which shows the profound qualities.

Although we didn’t have any reservations but they seated us quickly. The atmosphere was lively yet relaxing, and we enjoyed everything.

In short, this wasn’t just a meal—it was an experience! Highly recommended it!

came here as a party of 9 for my grandmothers 68th birthday. The flamenco show was wonderful, good job to those dancers. I got the stuffed shrimp entree, it was good. My only complaint is that is was cold by the time it got to me which was a bummer but I didn’t want to be that person in a restaurant like that and I just wanted to eat. Overall, great experience! I just wish my food was hot. I will be back. Oh yeah and the sangria was phenomenal!

The Columbia Restaurant is a great South American restaurant located in the heart of Ybor City, Tampa. They have a wide selection of Colombian based dishes. I had the Mahi-Mahi which did not disappoint, it came with plantains, warm bread, and rice- which were all flavorful and filling. I love the atmosphere of this place- it has a lot of cool artwork and definitely has some neat history to it. They deem to be the “oldest” restaurant in Florida. They have multiple dining rooms inside so they are able to accommodate a lot of people- however I would recommend reservations if you come around dinner time on weekends as it can get busy. Prices are a bit on the expensive side but the quality and portions of the food is great. Highly recommend! (No dress code required)

Four stars for the full flamenco experience. I read a lot of complaints about the food. Maybe that lowered my expectations. I have certainly had better Spanish food, but I thought it was fine, not good enough to go back for, but nothing to be mad about. It was also a bit less expensive than I expected.

Overall, I enjoyed the evening and am glad we went, but it wasn’t so good that I would go back. It was fun, but once you e seen the show it’s lost some appeal.
