The entire staff are great, the food was excellent, and the atmosphere was pretty good, I went into the restaurant around 5:30 pm, not crowded, country music that was playing was just right, not to loud and not so soft, the price was just right. I wish we had a Farmers restaurant back in Kentucky, Farmers is a great place for the whole family, next time I come to Columbia Tennessee I will definitely eat here again.

While we randomly enjoy the lunch buffet here, don’t bother for the weekend breakfast buffet. We were seated more than an hour before breakfast ended, most things on the buffet were empty, and most of those were never refilled. Just left empty for the remaining hour. What was left was clearly picked through only leaving the dregs, was very over cooked, or was barely seasoned (which is why they were still there). We then had to share a drink as our waitress never came back to our table, after bringing our first drinks, to refill anything. It was just a very disappointing experience all the way around.

My family enjoyed their breakfast buffet after church a couple weeks back. Food quality and selection was better than I expected given the reviews. It’s good home style southern cooking, family style buffet not a country club experience. That being said, my entire family, including the picky eaters loved it and want to go back to try their dinner buffet soon. In regard to the service, I believe everyone needs a little grace these days. After speaking with our server, they have been super busy since moving into their new location and can’t get enough help. Considering our server was one of two for the entire floor, I thought the service we received was fabulous. Looking forward to going back!

All the meats were over cooked,veggies OK, salad and dessert selection were also OK.
The service was not good, we had to find some one to ask to fill our drinks, only checked in with us 1 time during our meal.
We are not going to return, nor would we recommend them to anyone.

I’m absolutely thrilled Farmers Family Restaurant is still open! They’ve moved twice since I started coming to it back in it’s original location. You will not find a better southern country buffet ANYWHERE. The selections are numerous and amazing, everything from the collard greens to the fried oysters is seasoned perfectly. Want cobbler? There’s 3 different kinds and bread pudding with fresh peaches and raisins. Gator tail and frog legs? Friday night is your night! The salad bar is stocked with different greens. Farmers has an amazing crew and the atmosphere is great, they even brought the log-cabin-esq wood from the last location so it’s perfectly familiar. Go here, eat up, be merry!

Overall very positive experience and I would recommend if you are interested in a buffet. In my opinion a little more seasoning on the food would go a long way to improve the taste of the food, but overall excellent variety. I recommend the salmon on seafood night. Very clean and very pleasant atmosphere. Small or large groups would find comfort here. A little bit of something for everybody given that it is a buffet! Check it out.

Amazing country food, and desert, service with a smile and great atmosphere. If you are ever around Columbia Tennessee or Mule town and are hungry you should definitely stop in Farmers family restaurant.
