Came for an early dinner this week. I ordered the loaded chicken. It was hot, but just average- tasted like something I could make at home. The chicken breast was a little on the smaller side and just didn’t have a lot of flavor. The green beans were good, but again, I could make them at home. Hubs got the Del Rio ribeye. It was a little overcooked for him- he ordered medium well and it was past well done. I think we were just expecting good things and really let down. We probably won’t go back.

I ordered a 18 oz steak . It looks like a Walmart steak and i ordered it medium-rare and it wasn’t medium-rare the waitress didn’t ask for me to cut into the steak . The mac and cheese looks like plain noodles with just shredded cheese on it spent . For a $32 steak it could of been made a lot better. Wasn’t busy the whole time I was there and staff was sitting around talking to each other.

We went on a Sunday at 2:30.
The restaurant was mostly empty.
The hostess walked us to the furthest area of the restaurant in the corner. They can see that I was holding on to my granny and helping her by guiding her to where we needed to go so I don’t know why we had to walk so far.
There were plenty of open tables all the way to the back corner.

Our waitress was really nice.
She promptly came to take our drink order.
We ordered the queso appetizer.
She brought out our drinks and bread. Of course the bread was hot and good as usual.

I ordered the Hawaiian chicken, Granny had the chicken strips, and husband had the chicken fried chicken.
We got our appetizer with our dinner.
I asked for my Hawaiian chicken with no rice and it came with a big ol’ giant scoop, I just didn’t want it.
The chicken was grilled to perfection and hot.
The steamed vegetables were just bland steamed vegetables. Luckily I had some queso to dip it in for flavor. The queso was good.
Granny’s chicken strips were overcooked. But came out hot with steaming french fries.
The husband said his chicken fried chicken was delicious hot and fresh.

The hostess was kind and accommodating. The waitress was wonderful and attentive. The rolls were HOT and fresh and delicious. We devoured the queso dip but grandma said she didn’t like it too much but she loved her entree as didn’t every one else. I got the sin-sation brownie to go because I was so full but it was still great hours later !

We were working in this area and wanted steak. I’m glad we stopped here. The 12oz sirloin was cooked perfectly. You can really tell the difference in flavor being mesquite grilled.
I totally recommend this place if you’re looking for a great steak. Next time we are up here working, I’m getting the mesquite grilled salmon.

I also recommend saving the rolls for dessert. They give you butter and honey and those are great too.

Ashley was our waitress and she never let my tea glass get close to being empty. She’s super friendly and took care of us.

See ya next time!

We found Colton’s as we passed through the area and decided to give it a try despite mixed reviews. The restaurant was clean and seemed to have a great atmosphere. Our waitress was just ok but I can’t really fault her for my lack of enthusiasm as our meal progressed.
My husband and I both wanted to see a drink menu. What’s provided at the table did not list the beer or wine choices. The waitress had a written list in her pocket but when I asked for clarity on the wine options she was very limited in her knowledge. She could not tell me the brands or prices of the wines on her list.
As for the food, we enjoyed the complimentary rolls and they were very fresh and hot. My husband ordered the 12oz ribeye with side salad and steamed veggies. He was very pleased with his meal and I enjoyed the bites I tried. I ordered the special bourbon bacon salmon with sweet potato as pictured. The top and bottom of the salmon was so charred it was almost inedible. I was able to only eat 2/3rds of the salmon which was really disappointing. The bacon on top seemed to be bacon bits from a bag which was not what I expected.
I am happy that they had healthier options like steamed veggies and a baked sweet potato but this meal was lacking in a big way.
If we came through often (but we don’t) I would give it another try but would not reorder this special.

Another nice late afternoon meal. Seated immediately.
Jessica our waitress gave excellent service.
Crab dip ~ good. Pineapple Steak ~ yummy ~ cooked right.
Grilled Chicken ~ a little dry but the mushrooms and cheese made it flavorful. Huge portion.
Loaded mashed potatoes ~ always yummy. Hot Rolls ~ DELICIOUS!
Side salads ~ tasty, cold and crunchy.
Price ~ not bad.
A sure bet for us.

This was a good stop, and a new one for me in this part of the country. The food was good, and the prices reasonable. Warm atmosphere. Our server was interesting as she was one of those “I only really eat chicken nuggets” type of people, so really couldn’t offer any advice on menu choices from personal experience as she had not tried most of the menu. Regardless, she did a great job of keeping the glasses full and checking in on us. The soup could have been a bit hotter, but the flavor was good. The steak was cooked correctly, and the chicken was good with a creative twist. Presentation was adequate, but with a lot of room to grow. A solid choice for a family meal and I am sure we will end up here again at some point.
