Ordered the T-Bone (medium) and a loaded baked potato. I got a thin piece of mostly gristle (temp varying from medium rare to well done) and probably the driest baked potato I’ve ever had my life. The fried pickles were pretty good, even if they were slow coming to the table during a time when I was one of maybe 5 tables in the restaurant. I suspect it had something to do with the front of house congregating in the back of house due to the loud conversations I had to listen to the entire time I was seated. My server, Hayley, was great. She did her job and she did it well.

We visited Russellville on Eclipse day. It was a busy evening, but we did not have a wait for our table. That was a very nice surprise. Brooklyn gave us excellent service. She was a positive contribution to our dinner. We all actually really enjoyed her.
At my request, Brooklyn made a recommendation to start with the fried pickles. She explained that the pickles are sliced lengthwise, not in slices or spears. So we had to try them! They are absolutely perfect! I must say, they are the best fried pickles I had ever had!
The rest of our food was very good! Every meal was a thick cut.
If you have not eaten at Coltons, I highly recommend it! They are conveniently located about a block off I-40. We will definitely drop in on our next trip down 40.
I also spoke to Jennifer, the Manager on Duty. I made her think I had a complaint… she handled it incredibly well! Needless to say, she was quite relieved when I turned it into a glowing compliment!

We were in Russellville for a conference and we’re running out places we haven’t tried yet so we decided to give Colton’s a try. Being vegetarians, there obviously wasn’t much to choose from on the menu. The waitress was friendly though and the atmosphere was fun.

We had to ask the waitress not once not twice but three times for lemon in my husband’s lemon water. Then I ordered a 12 oz ribeye cooked medium. The steak was $27.99 so you expect for nearly $30 it to be great. The first time I got it it was way overcooked. There was no pink whatsoever inside so they kindly took it back. The next steak that I got was a little pink. When I cut the steak in half but as I went to cut the end off of it it was completely raw. Like you could tell the heat had not hit the inside of that steak AT ALL!!!! So after two attempts of trying to get a good steak that was cooked the way I wanted it to be, I asked her to just take it off. Not to mention that the first steak I got I took a bite up and there was no flavor. No salt, nothing. You couldn’t even smell the Char-Broil whereas most steakhouses you can. So mind you the meal was $27.99 …. The waitress told us that we would see the credit Al on our receipt at the bottom that of which we did. They only marked $22 off like what? Why am I having to pay $5 for the baked potato that I did not eat because I had nothing to eat it with. Like I wanted to eat a baked potato with a steak. I am not usually a mean or rude or Petty person, but if I’m going to pay $30 for a steak it needs to be cooked right? And not to mention that the manager come over and ask me if I didn’t want to at least try to eat the center of it. What so that you can charge me $27.99 for not eating a steak that was not cooked the way I wanted it cooked. No thank you ma’am. We will not be back there!!!!

So happy we saw this place near our hotel. The food was great, and our server, Savannah, was absolute perfection as she patiently answered our questions and made recommendations. Great experience! (I will add, Google says they have a full bar, but it is pretty limited to basic distilled spirits, and the wine list doesn’t have much variety.)

I ordered almost a hundred dollars worth of dinner. They forgot to make a couple kids meals(that were made wrong) so the rest of my wrong order sat and got cold while waiting for those kids meals. When I opened the rest of the order, I noticed I didn’t get ranch I had to pay for, 2 of the phillys were made completely wrong. Not to mention it was cold as well. Tried to call and got put on hold for 15 minutes. Hung up and tried again to continually get a busy signal. This is last time for me, this isn’t the first time they have messed up.

The steak was good, once you put salt on it. The mashed potatoes, gravy and mac and cheese was almost room temperature. The shrimp and bread was delicious as well as the sweet tea.
The waitress, Jennifer… I thought was going to be amazing. She was sweet and used her manners… Well, after having waiting awhile for my tea to be refilled, she finally shows up …and asks if we want a box. I looked from the time I took the picture of my steak to the time she asked if we wanted a box….or dessert…It was less than 10 mins!!! Her manner was one of rush… which I then felt rushed. She did the couple behind us the same way.
She only had two tables. The place was almost empty.
As we left, we found why. Her and about four other waitresses was leaned up in the kitchen part talking nails and what have you!
So, that little rush job was reflected in her tip. We have been known to give $100 tips…not this time.

The food here was very tasty. There is a nice selection and reasonable prices. Our service was friendly and attentive. It is close to I-40, which makes it a very convenient place to stop for a good meal.

We stopped in for lunch during a weekday in June, 2023. We’ve never heard of Colton’s Steak House & Grill, let alone been to one. But we came across this one while passing through. It was lunch time and sometimes you have to take advantage of options when you have them. We like trying places we’ve never been to, so Colton’s fit the bill.
Right off the bat, Colton’s had the rustic persona that a lot of steak houses have. Once inside, nothing changed. Everything fit the rustic look. We were seated and ordered pretty quick.
Colton’s seemed to have decent prices. They were even better with lunch specials. Our food came out fairly quickly. Everything we had was excellent. Probably one of the best meals that I have had recently. We were told that the wife’s meal was over cooked, and they refused to serve it that way. So they cooked another meal to what they felt was proper.
I need to point out that we never saw the plate. It never came out to the table. The people in the back wanted it right. And they made it right before it could be an issue. It did take about three minutes longer. But it was excellent. Then they even discounted the meal because it wasn’t right. We didn’t ask for any of this. But we were impressed with the quality of Colton’s staff to make sure things were right.
Our server was named Raley according to the check. Yes, she told us, but I’m not the best on remembering names, let alone pronouncing and spelling a lot of names.
Anyway, Raley, was such a pleasure to have serve us. She was an absolutely delightful women. Not only an excellent server, but an all around wonderful person. She was friendly and helpful even beyond her duties as our server. If by chance you read this, thank you Raley, for a great lunch.

Family get together and it was awful! Dads fried shrimp was burnt, my ribeye was supposed to be rare and was not, it was tough, my mothers ribeye was tough, my brothers fish and chips tasted bad. Our server was brand new and she did a fairly good job but absolutely no one would help her, we had a table full of dirty dishes no one was removing them so it was hard to relax, enjoy my birthday and visit. We will never go back. When I complained to the restaurant the only thing we got was I’m sorry it was not good.
