My friend & I ordered the onion blossom. I had a Texas House Salad with chicken. My friend had a house Salad & loaded baked potato soup. The onion blossom was great. My salad was excellent. However, my friend’s soup was very weak, thin, & barely warm. She sent it back & they replaced it. It was much better the second time. All in all, a decent experience.

Absolutely the worst experience at a Coltons ever. Queso dip was cold and not much in the bowl at all, waiter Sam was non existant, never asked how anything was or cared. I never ordered a meal after that and finished my drink and left to go somewhere else. Just terrible all the way around.

We usually have good experience at Coltons but this was the worst dining experience ive had in years. Spinach dip was so cold we had to cut it with a fork to eat it. Caesar salad came with no dressing. Cheese sticks were barely above frozen, both steaks were cold and completely unseasoned, grilled onions for one steak came with the to go box and I left my steak there almost completely uneaten. There was a bartender that came out and was very rude to our waitress while she was at our table, she was awesome by the way. She was a very young girl that was doing the best that she could and was very helpful. I believe her name was Casey. For $140.00 we expect a better experience. This isnt alot of money but it was only 2 adults and 2 kids that only had an appetiser .

Went there this weekend. Couldn’t have made a worse decision. We waited over 3 hours and our food never came so we decided to cancel our food. finally we got full on rolls and appetizer and a salad. Had to take my girls to eat at Wendy’s because ofc they don’t like salads and the appetizers. But never again! Was hoping for a better experience but they really need staff for the holidays saying we’re sorry doesn’t help! No seats either long wait line long everything!

Ordered the New York strip. Tough! Tough! Tough! The baked potato was old. Like it had been sitting in a warmer all day. The waitress left the table so much we had to ask other wait staff for rolls, refills, and my husband went to the kitchen to finally get his baked potato.

Another Well Run Colton’s Location!
I was in the Batesville area for business and decided to try out Colton’s location in town. I have eaten at many Coltons all over the USA and wanted to see if this location was just as good or better than other Colton’s locations. When I arrived it was at the beginning of dinner service and already starting to fill up with diners. The hostess asked me if I wanted the bar or dining room and I chose the dining room. When I was seated the server in my section came to my table within a few minutes. Once she went over some of the items that Colton’s is known for, she took my drink order and gave me some time to choose my meal.
I ordered the Filet with a side of grilled shrimp and green beans. When my server dropped off my beer, she also came with a basket of fresh hot rolls, which were right out of the oven and the butter melted on the buns making it a great snack while I waited for my food. I had asked the server to bring out my shrimp first, and I was in no rush for my main course. The shrimp came out and they were plump and juicy, still hot and served with a side of melted butter with a lemon wedge and on a bed of rice. The shrimp were a great starter and they were seasoned just right and not too salty.
My steak came out cooked just a little over medium-rare, so not quite how I wanted it but I did not complain, as it was a very good cut of beef, and tasted very good. The mashed potatoes and gravy were a hit as they were very good. The green beans weren’t much to write home about, but they were edible. Overall a good inexpensive meal, with great service, and the server took her time showing me how to pay on the tablet at the table. If I’m in Batesville again, I will most definitely come back

Food here is hit or miss. The cheese fries are our go-to for an app and are usually great. Employees are nice! The building is very large too, which is nice.

I ordered the Filet Mignon, medium, it was so overcooked, the bacon wrapped around it was burnt, no pink center. Also, the meat did not have a fresh flavor, very poor quality beef! The vegetables were mush, also way over cooked, and the salad had many pieces of brown lettuce!
Very disappointing meal for 30 plus dollars!! The rolls were the highlight of the meal, hot and fresh!!!

Food was great! Service lacked very much and just made for a bad experience. We come very often and this was our first bad experience. Never came to check on us and when she did was very rude and walked away in the middle of the conversation!
